Cbx750p 1st Gear April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 The B8 Passat would probably reach our shores end of this year or early next year. It is totally new from the current B7 Passat. With the current COE situation, we should be looking at about >S$185,000 OTR for this babe ! Better start saving now for the DP !
Keithchue 5th Gear April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 i rather get BMW or Merc for 185K
Lala81 Hypersonic April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 From the reviews, this is a very good car other than the DSG lol. The transmission tunnel is high considering it's just a FWD. Must have some AWD variant? Really boring console, but well made.

Must have some AWD variant? Really boring console, but well made. CarBuyer says its very high, but also very narrow, so middle passenger got lots of space in the side footwells to share. There's 4MOTION option and the 2.2TDi biturbo also comes standard with 4MOTION. The B8 Passat would probably reach our shores end of this year or early next year. Last I asked VW SE they bandied around September or July. They don't seem sure, ask him why he said it's because the top still seem to be nego. I expecting $190k for a 2.0 TDi personally. Maybe 1.4TSi if they bring in (expected to since we are petrol market) will be $167k. But doubt it lo. Sad because this is one of my current top-lister. The current 1.8TSI passat must already be close to 180k and above? When i viewed it, it was 177k (167k for event car). When i viewed it, it was 177k (167k for event car). 1S latest 23apr list confirms 177k. But pulling back to March 20; 1.4TSi is $142k, 1.8TSi is $171k, 2.0TDi is $181k and 3.6 V6 (R36?) $250k. So I expect 2.0 TDi B8 to be 190k since latest tech... Basically all the old prices +7.5~12.5k. Edited April 27, 2015 by 7hm

I expect it to be closer to 190k at this current COE.

Matoonia 6th Gear April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 Heard that there are many engine types for this B8. Including diesel and even hybrid models. The range topping model is a biturbo diesel rated 250bhp and 500Nm torque, paired with 6 speed DSG. Looking forward to this. Taohuaychui Neutral Newbie April 18, 2017 Share April 18, 2017 Hi all, I would like to seek opinions and experiences of owners (present and past) of the B7 Passat. I'm looking to buy a pre-owned one, either 2013 or 2014. I understand the 7 spd DSG gearbox is infamous although I have gotten mixed reviews, the bias is towards bad. Appreciate any feedback so I can make an informed decision. Thank you.
