Volkswagen Fuel Flaps Not Opening

Hi guys,

 

any of you VW owners have this problem?

 

i need to lock/ unlock whilst singing a song to unlock the fuel flap

 

went down VW, need $120 to fix

 

anyway the fuel flap can be manually opened?

if manually open, you will permanently damage the lock,

is your car under warranty? if not go outside WS,

is it the locking mechanism??see if you can talk to them. the fuel door should not breakdown.. but then again, what do I know

you sang to your fuel flap to get it to open??..

i am surprised VW dun allow a manual over ride to open the fuel flap. at least some form of fail safe to open, if not no petrol how? call tow truck meh

If in such a case, try opening and closing with the remote several times while de-pressing the flap to open, it happened to mine as well.

PS it might take quite some time before it finally opens, when it does, try spraying some lithium lubricant to help in future.

normally the latch is made of plastic. Try using metal rule/flat head screw driver to push it a bit.
