Jamesc Hypersonic November 3, 2014 Share November 3, 2014 think many people just chasing for surface glory blindly... like what you wear (clothes, watches etc) or what you drive (merc, bmw or audi?) let's not try to live at a living standard that we can't afford. aim for it but not live at it before we are there lah. nothing wrong to live simple with not much worries about cash flow. don't go and mind so much about how others look at you. it's your life, control it yourself. No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no! Please do not spend according to your income. You must buy branded clothes so people do not look down on you. You must buy high end prestigious cars like Mers, Audi and BMW so people will look up to you. You must buy high end property so people know you have made it. How others look up to you as a sucessful person is the most important thing to do. Do you really want people to look down on you? ↡ Advertisement

Jamesc Hypersonic November 3, 2014 Share November 3, 2014 Dude , i believe you come from the credit side as well ,i don't mean the banks collapsing , i am less concerned with how the banks handle debt but more for the general public. Debt structure and financial well being is my primary concern. In fact , i am pretty worried about japan and the direction they are going. Do you think it will happen soon? If the yen goes down like a ballon, I will do my best to change as much as I can fly there and spend it to prop it up. These are easy.... The toughest part is finding a job that pay millions so that everybody will be looking up at you with dignity. Like a properity church pastor? They give you millions and look up to you like a god. Lightbringer 6th Gear November 3, 2014 Share November 3, 2014 Don't forget you must also keep telling the whole world how you pay for EVERYTHING in full cash and look down and harrague others for not paying everything in FULL CASH OKAY. Also keep "casually" mentioning how you love to wear a watch with a price tag of five digits when.doing rough menial tasks like washing your car, and calling others who treat their similar timepieces in a more careful fashion as "guniangs".... And also talk about your income tax etc... Hehe I could go on and on and on... No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no! Mason016 Supersonic November 3, 2014 Share November 3, 2014 Its ok if banks collapse, the gov will just use tax payers money to prop up the banks. The banks can still pay out to top management billions in bonuses. It happened before and it will happen again. I loves banks, just wished I worked for one in senior management. Better still to own a bank

Jamesc Hypersonic November 3, 2014 Share November 3, 2014 Better still to own a bank The best way to rob a bank is to own one and it all legal. Only the tax payers are the real suckers.

LOL nice , cannot beat them join them. It is actually bad karma to rob a bank , as the bank doesn't lose any money , the money you rob are the ones which puts their deposits in the banks. Banks LOSE nothing. Edited November 3, 2014 by CH_CO

Lightbringer 6th Gear November 3, 2014 Share November 3, 2014 All banks have a comprehensive reporting to be done monthly to MAS and this includes all sorts of numbers from outstanding loans, deposits, bad debts etc. The banks report this meticulously and carefully cos the penalty for incorrect reporting can be a substantial fine to even suspension of license. There have been cases in the past of banks being caught by MAS for wrong doing like round tripping of S$ etc so our Central Bank is known for being a good policeman for our financial system and we are known worldwide to have a robust system in place. What you say is true. However, the chap you are addressing is an astonishingly wise, intelligent, omniscient and infallible CREDIT OFFICER in a bank who understands the banking and international finance industry better than anybody else. The likes of Yellen, Bernanke, Krugman, Greenspan, etc - it's time to move over for this god's gift to the banking and finance industry otherwise known as CH_CO. All from his tireless years of working operations in the credit branch of a bank, well you got to give credit to this man! He still manages to find the time to debate the infinite virtues of Korean vs Japanese cars - what a hero, what a swell guy. He uses "Dude..." pretty liberally too, so he must have a lot of street cred! Never mind about monetary policy. Never mind about inflation targets. Never mind about policy trilemmas. Never mind about strategic goals. All that matters in the world of banking and finance is CREDIT, CREDIT AND CREDIT! Bank loan officers should actually rule the world, since they know the best about everything *dismissive wave* BTW, on a more serious note, seems like this fellow wasn't aware of the regulatory reporting that all banks have to make to MAS, and he conveniently swept this aside under the carpet under another irrelevant wall of text. You know what I do when I face such people? I laugh and I move on to better things. Suggest you do the same :)

I am one which debates on koreans vs japan , talk shit , credit and a whole lot of shit. What do i know indeed. Laugh more , makes you younger though. Oh, not that i regret saying any of that but i do regret being so polite . I forgot to say one thing to you. And forgive me for not being as educated, high class and eloquent as LightBringer, the Devil himself. *certain post content deleted* Edited November 4, 2014 by Bavarian ↡ Advertisement
