Your guess is wrong.

What you had describe is not applicable especially in expressways where the exits have queues.

A car going straight in lane 2 is less likely to brake for no apparently reason compared to a car executing a lane change - totally differently from your perception of "hoping for the best".

Graciousness is not to change lane when you know that there is only a 2 second gap.

Graciousness is also to be safe to the car behind.

You mean safe distance not applicable when exiting the expressway? If there is a queue, a 2s gap definitely not enough for a car to cut in. But if someone wants to cut in there is more than enough time to slow down and let him in and still maintain a safe distance. If cannot change lane when there is only a 2s gap, I wonder how to change lane if all drivers are as bad as you.

Watching YouTube video on crash compilation, we could notice a number of crashes happened when the car/truck for no obvious reason, simply turn right/left and crashed. These crashes resemble those due to shock-absorbers faulty/worn. Nothing electronics can help us overcome such crashes. I believe I saved myself from one or more such crashes before, by replacing those worn shock-absorbers (seems to have no function) just in time. Our lives worth more than a few hundred dollars.

I've also encountered slight skid when applying brakes in the wet. Found out one front shock leaking.

I am glad you found out without having an accident. Worn/faulty shock-absorbers affect the car equally along dry road surface, too. Gas-filled shock-absorbers can leaks without any sign of fluid leakage observed.

Last time ignorant, only gd thing is drive at normal speed. But even now also seldom chk unless feel funny like more bouncy or roll or less stable.

Good to regularly check the car for any problems. I usually check if I anything is leaking while I am washing the car. Just bring down a torch and look into the engine bay and undercarriage.

gas filled dampers does not mean there is no hydraulic oil used.

Its a combination of both liquid and gas.

Anyone else finds this recording a bit dangerous? Just a small strip of concrete for audience and non for the crew. This is a 120kmh test so just a slip and the whole lot of them are going to die...
