Vega Turbocharged October 28, 2014 Share October 28, 2014 (edited) is this complementing the UAVs? then wat happens to the E2Cs? they have been using this in Afghanistan to spot for IED. basically, it is very cheap to operate comparing to flying a E2C or UAV which can't stay in the air forever. Shull Turbocharged October 28, 2014 Share October 28, 2014 is this complementing the UAVs? then wat happens to the E2Cs? E2Cs need fuel and pilots.. this one, just pump up with helium and let it stay up there 24/7.. Only thing is better make sure the mooring lines are strong enough. Knowing how prone we are to once-in-50-years freak storm, we do not want them to float north or southwards..

The E2C looks clumsy with the roti-prata kosong... But it has served well and the US is still using it as surveillance for the battle group... It's useful as it can be based on an aircraft carrier... ↡ Advertisement
