inlinesix Hypersonic April 8, 2015 Share April 8, 2015 Looks highway code is to be forgotten: Keep left 50. When driving along, keep well to the left and as near as practicable to the edge of the road, except when you intend to overtake or turn right. Do not hug the middle of the road. This applies to dual carriageways as well. ↡ Advertisement
Jellandross Supersonic April 8, 2015 Share April 8, 2015 (edited) I don't know what is wrong with singapore drivers. Always like to hog lane 1. When I drive in HK, I don't encounter these things so often. If the car in front of me in lane 1 is slow and I'm fast, he will automatically filter out to lane 2. So what went wrong with sg drivers? Cars too expensive cannot move butt? Lane 1 is like the one and only golden toilet bowl that every road hog wants to sit on to read newspaper but yet they have no need to bang sai. Then those who have urgent need to bang sai cannot do so becos this bugger is hogging the toilet bowl. End up the urgent ones buay loon liao got to shit outside and dirty the whole place. Then later you ask the bugger why he never bang sai but keep hogging the toilet bowl, he say sit on toilet bowl read newspaper but never bang sai is not illegal what, what's the problem? Mercury1 Turbocharged April 8, 2015 Share April 8, 2015 Met this impatient kook on the way home, this was along Tanglin road and there was a slow car in front of me plus oncoming traffic and yet he was trying to overtake. Vhtfhwlego Supercharged April 8, 2015 Share April 8, 2015 Wifey and I discussed just now... No way, I will accept namecard at all... she may have given us some other ppl's namecard for all we know... If she say no IC or DL, I will say I call the police immediately... no IF, no BUTs... I will also call ambulance to register that I am not feeling well due to the accident... So, she can't leave the scene anymore... If she leave before the police and ambulance, this will be additional charge imposed on her.... Last time I quoted this to the forum and guess what, people tell me not to abuse ambulance. It's not wrong not to bring any ID along when driving.

Bro Ktglfc, By right, all driver involved in traffic accident, be it major and minor shall exchange personal particulars such as "Identity card or Driving License" for the purpose of police accident reporting and following up next is with..."If"...motor vehicle insurance claiming for car damage and injury compensations to be processing against the party at fault. Many egomania refuse to co-operate with this simple, basic, courteous and appropriate procedure upon request, therefore we could only take a picture of driver involved and writes a remark in the police reporting statement that "The Involved Driver Refuse to Provide Valid Documents upon request" On the spot photo shot is for preventing "Impostor" stepping up to shield the said party at fault. No point arguing with unreasonable people and remains on the busy road exposing own life in danger just if another second collision happen dismayingly. My advice is to keep a good working camera at all time for urgency usage, especially during drive trips. Edited April 8, 2015 by 2BDriver

Its a single lane with much double parallel white line.
Mercury1 Turbocharged April 9, 2015 Share April 9, 2015 What do I achieve? Hard to say but possibibly the motorcyclist life when he tried overtaking on the right as we approach a blind spot. Or maybe my car which could have been sideswiped if he veered back in. Seriously overtaking 2 cars (mine and the front) while approaching a blind spot. That's just stupid driving puts everyone at risk regardless of situation. Even ambulances don't drive like that What do you achieve when you managed to block the VIOS successfully (as shown in the video)? Sp4wn Turbocharged April 9, 2015 Share April 9, 2015 (edited) Not to side with Mercury1, but even if he did not attempt to block, the Vios wouldn't have been able to overtake safely at all. exactly! @zeagle probably not familiar with the area. if its a single lane, and the guy want to overtake, what about the consequences to other drivers? this same scenario just happen to me the other day. i had to ebrake in the middle of the road, as on the opposite lane, the driver was overtaking a slower car, failed to see me, and almost ram into me. he did his overtaking at a blind spot and if i didnt ebrake, our cars will sure kiss. and you can be damn sure i reported it to police. If you make me ebrake cos you insist on overtaking into incoming traffic, then goddamn you are a danger to other road users. within 3 or 4 days they replied to me. ------ Dear Sir, I refer to the police report dated 25 March 2015 against SXX XXXXX. Please be informed that appropriate action has been taken against the driver. Thank you. Edited April 9, 2015 by Sp4wn

Sabian Turbocharged April 9, 2015 Share April 9, 2015 Single lane by default sure block the car behind you. How not to block? Only ways I can think of is to drive up the pedestrian pavement if there is one or move to the right onto the lane meant for traffic in the opposite direction.
