Yes, the pork we used was rather lean. If you want happening bak kwa, then you need to use pork that has a much higher fat content.

I had lunch at Salt Grill and Sky Bar, 55th Floor, Orchard ION. Never been there so this was a most interesting experience. Commanding views from the restaurant. A great place for views. Pity the sky was overcast when I was there, but still very good views.

 

The food was above average, not spectacular. I would pay to eat here just for the views. Lunch would be significantly less expensive than dinner. You can check out their website for the menus - http://www.saltgrill.com/

Putu Piring, Malay ground rice cake. I always get this mixed up with Kueh Tu Tu. Only after some research on the NLB website did I learn that they are not the same. Kueh Tutu is of chinese origin.

Continuing with my food-related videos. Here was a dinner I had to attend a short while back.

 

British Airways flight from London Heathrow to Rome. The flight was 2 hours plus. What did we get to eat? Just a sandwich. Go to 4:52.
