Thanks Watwheels, but what I know I have already listed, and I don't want to spend outside my allowance, I know there is an up front payment which I need to fork out from my savings. Other than these, I really don't know how my work day will be until I start work. Thanks anyway.

Of course lah. Your question is so generic.

List down your priorities, your budget and your likely travel pattern eg. daily mileage. Narrow down your field of choice be it brand or whatever to 3 or 4 cars. It will be easier when you do this first.

Thanks Qpik, do you mean got pigu"? Those look long to me.hehe

Why need to change wear and tear, I buy the car sld be in working condition right? And the car cam, never cross my mind, money again.

Consider one with karching. Besides acting as a buffer, u can brush up yr parking skills.

If resale, don't go below 1000cc esp w old car.

Be prepared to change some wear n tear parts and no need to go back AD for servicing.

Lastly, install a car cam.

car rental is easily available. suggest you to rent a car for a week or so, by then, u should have a clearer picture of what u want or even desire. maybe u dont even want to own a car by then, lol. never know right

so many suggestions, sorry I a little blur, let me read first.

Hi TS, Unable to advise u on the make of the car as I drive cars of different category.

Would suggest u choose one with a boot; for safety and shopping stuffs. Seriously, when I shop, I fill up the boot & backseats as well. Hahaha.......

If u start with one that's too tiny (that's what the male forummers are trying to pigeonhole u into), you won't find the confidence u needed to progress to bigger cars next time, might as well start with one that's about the size of a Toyota Vios/Altis.

Yes, get a saloon not a hatchback. (1) Safety (2) Help u to brush up parking skills.

Second hand doesn't mean every wear n tear parts are being replaced. Best if can get it pre-check to ensure chassis not mended.

Cam is a must as a precaution n for "new" drivers.

Lastly, as some bros here mentioned. Get one what can be easily let go wout drastic loss.

Or rent n c how u like ur job.

Oh, lastly insurance premium won't be cheap for new driver n also car model plays a part.

I agree with some of the bros here, first time in sales don't commit too much on a car. Get an resale car make with high demand and good resale value. You never know if you feel that sales is not for you or you realize it is difficult to hit the numbers aka not a permanent sales job. If that happens at least you can sell easily and don't lose much.

After 1 year later if you find that you like your sales job and doing well in it (probably with good comm and bonus) then you can consider upgrading your ride to a better one.

But charbo ask, different answer liao.... lol

Thought company allowance? If company allowance why not buy?

Turbocharged

Stay away from the "contis".

Most of the usual choices already mentioned by the rest.

Advice is to stick with the japs, think Daihatsu Materia ( quirky design ) or Toyota Rush ( PI car ).

Both cars 1500cc, tall seating and relatively fuel efficient.
