$500 pm is definitely possible. Don't use sgcarmart price as a gauge, the prices are all inflated by car dealers. I'm sure they take in the cars at a similar or lower depre.

My BIL sold his 10.5 month Nissan Latio OPC at 9.8k pa depreciation. Some more it's a OPC and aircon spolit. The buyer said it's okay he will get it fixed..

Indeed not cheap to change aircon parts if spoilt. Esp the compressor and radiator.

hidden gimmicks. kia k3 realistic depre is $700++/ mth

Eh, standard package 85k. If you do not take loan, they charge you 3k more. No car to trade in, they will still give you the discount nonetheless, the OMV at least 14k, so you pay 14k ARF, can get back 7k when scrap. 8.1k per year max, you divide it out is 675 per month. Where got 700+?

Congrats! Most probably the buyer despo. LoL! but Latio not bad one. If air con working, 7-8k dep can easily sell (for normal plate).

Cos the seller who is an Indian national told my BIL that he is looking for a less than one year old left car for his wife to drive. His reason, he felt my BIL was damn honest to point out the faults of the car... Haha.. Good one for my BIL.

The concern is if u have downpayment then go ahead. Approximate 100k units car is waiting scrap. There will be demand for second hand car. Therefore price is higher compare new. Because not 100k user have 40% to 50% downpayment. Those who see current coe drop also dont want to buy new bcs it may drop further . Then add in more demand for second hand car market. The true is, with the given price. U want or dont want. If u are the owner of car pending to scrap or left few months to go,u have no choose..i used to try selling my 2 months old toyota, u know so many call and sms when i post just first day to sgcar mart. Also car rental company is asking .... so you can imagine how many demand if u have car left more than 2 months to scrap exmp. Some more i saw one of enquirry use whatap and the person is wearing shining and playing golf ...

Those buying car left 1-2 months maybe they have the intention of renewing the car?!

Nah... bought a Vitz with 2.5 months left for my wife to practise driving actually. She just got her license in Jan. Intend to scrap it at the end of its COE although it's still in good condition as its PARF is high. Its scrap value at the end is 10.9k. Got it at 11k.  :D

u dunno den dont anyhow la.

Their list price at $94999... $85000 is non-guaranteed bid and is applicable only if u take their loan @ 2.78%, in-house insurance AIG and trade in your used car.

so realistically even if no loan no trade in, your depre will still be more than $700/mth.

2.5 months where got enough time to practise driving?! Lol. Actually if the car condition is good and the PQP is low, it is still worth to consider renew coe.

Up to you lo. I also not their staff. Anyway when COE was 45k in Jan, that was their practice. I was in the showroom and almost signed at 87k (standard package at that time). The SE was okay without a trade in car but insisted I take their loan if not add 3k. In the end,i walked off. Also, in Feb when COE was 43K, my colleague also bought at 83+3k without loan. Still bidding though.. haven't secure.

PQP is relatively high, so that is the main decision why I'll scrap the car. Yes, 2.5months definition rely not enough. My wife have managed to scrape the front and back bumper on walls when parking so far....

I think just minor on the bumpers, not too bad. If she wishes to practice more, I am selling my Mit Lancer 1st week May 2016. COE expiring 15 Aug 2016, 3 months ride. PM me if interested, no obligation.
