hatuah 1st Gear March 3, 2016 Share March 3, 2016 Hmm, so u haven't gotten new car? If so, then how about just wait till nov when car about the expire then buy new car since its scrap value anyway? More economical and saves $$ too. It only make sense to sell now if u got new car coming... unless u wanna stop driving temporarily, but honestly such cars are harder to sell as compared to B&B cars. You should drive till last day. My original plan was to drive till scrap but my wife is pregnant now and she complains that the car is too low and she has difficulties climbing in and out of the car. Most BMWs got major issues after 160k. E.g. Gearbox, cooling oils, aircon compressors and oil leaks. Most 3 series depreciate around 10k sharp on the final year. You're asking for paper at time of transfer + 5k (That's be 10k deprec after including body) Total costs = 5k deprec + 1k repairs + 1-2k unexpected repairs + road tax of $600. All this for 6 months of use. Not very worth it if you ask me. FYI, I also used to own a 320i. Just scrapped late last year, 1 month earlier after compressor died and gearbox going to die soon. Mileage was 157K. Apologies for being honest. Edited March 4, 2016 by Deividz

I am trying here in case some uber driver wants to have this as I think can still last 6months after fixing the oil leak. you owned this before so you know that oil leak happens often and it is not some major issue. seriously the wear and tear for this car cannot last like jap. but the handling is good. the look also not bad even though design already 10 years old. by the way it comes with 18" breyton rims Edited March 4, 2016 by CityTypeZ

I dont know whether it is the same situation with uber but maybe you will find this information useful.

Maybe not be easy to find someone who is willing to part with almost 30k just to own it for a short while.. although he will get back most of the money after that. Wish you all the best!
