Evillusion Supersonic January 17, 2015 Share January 17, 2015 Pray tell, what personal reason? Tell us something we don't know please. Seems like you know him very well. Don't get brainwashed by our ST lah. So all the MIW are helping the citizens and not for the money? Sssssssure. Before you even read what he is writing nowadays, you already closed the door on him. Sure man, all the MIW have good character and high integrity. Remember Michael Palmer and a few others? cannot give u 5 yet......arrgghh! Some people just believe what miw and ST writes and report. Maybe he is an ardent supporter or maybe he is new.......but by saying if CSJ were to lead SG and will cause SG's downfall speaks volume on his trust of fellow Singaporeans. I really doubt his sincerety here!

Maybe he is an ardent supporter or maybe he is new.......but by saying if CSJ were to lead SG and will cause SG's downfall speaks volume on his trust of fellow Singaporeans. I really doubt his sincerety here! No problem, I give you 5 first. Precisely, we are not even talking about CSJ becoming PM. Just listen what he say and read what he write first, don't just slam the door on him. No doubt he was a young brash politician back then but give people a chance man. People do change. Mud slinging will not work nowadays and that's why CCS is doing exactly.
Shadowdad 2nd Gear January 17, 2015 Share January 17, 2015 Why instead of keep attacking him, would you not listen to what he has to say? Then you will understand why people listen to him. He talks a lot of sense nowadays and not like what he was 15 yrs ago when he was still a brash opp politician. But you rather harp on what he was years ago and keep flogging a dead horse? Character and Intergrity problem was from what the mainstream media painted him isn't it? If you listen to what he has to say and his ideas, instead of relying on mainstream media reporting, you will have a very different impression of him. How has exactly opposing SG govt for personal reasons helped him? Did he get richer or have a lot of power because of this? He was only a discharged bankrupt 2 yrs ago and still leaves in a 3 rm HDB flat. For a strong leader, his back ground is not important ( even he have no house, so what?). For the last 15 years, beside become active during election time bashing gov, what had he doen to help Singapore? Or to make it easy, had he help any single person in Singapore? Talking bad and finding fault is easy( i also don't like alot of policy PAP implement), if he can show me that he can make a different (dont have to be national level), i will listen to him. Now all bashing, talk, helping foreign media. If you know of any case that he had help any individual or society (may be volunteer to have the old ), pls let me know. I am willing to listen. Yes, there are alway back sheep in a team. No system in the world can screen and produce angel as we are not god. Just make sure the party do the right thing when spotted back sheep. I am not closing door on any one, mind you my place is an opposition party GRC ( you should know which one). I have no issue with those running the GRC so far. Current system is not perfect but is one of the best in the world. We should not allow incapable person to destroy it. He had to show with action (even a small way) and not just endless talk and bashing.

Sure man, all the MIW have good character and high integrity. Remember Michael Palmer and a few others? ST doesn't want to publish CSJ's letter http://yoursdp.org/news/st_refuses_to_publish_chee_39_s_reply_to_chan_chun_sing/2015-01-16-5939 (The paragraphs in bold are the ones the ST wants to remove.) IT IS NOT I WHO IS SACRIFICING SINGAPORE In his letter Chee sacrifices S'pore to win points overseas: Chan Chun Sing (ST, January 16, 2015), Minister Chan suggests that I am anti-Singapore because I publish op-eds in the international media. I did not write these pieces to criticise Singapore, I wrote them to criticise PAP policies. The PAP and Singapore are two different things. We must not equate one with the other. The reason I have written in these news sites is because Singaporean newspapers are reluctant to publish my pieces. Just in the last three month, the Straits Times has rejected all three of my op-eds which I submitted. If Mr Chan insists that I am undermining Singapore, then he should note that it is not I but Mr Lee Kuan Yew who, in an interview with National Geographic (a Western magazine), rather uncharitably likened Singaporeans to indolent animals where "spurs [had to be] stuck into the hide” to make us work harder. It is not I but the PAP who are persuading young Singaporeans not to pursue a university education while giving foreign students generous financial grants to study at our universities. It is not I but the Government who has allowed in millions of foreigners to work in Singapore at the expense of Singaporeans' jobs and wages. Mr Chan should not be directing his anger at me. He says that I betrayed Mr Chiam See Tong. Former High Court Justice Warren Khoo who presided over the trial between Mr Chiam and the SDP said that he could find no malicious behaviour on the part of the SDP since the Central Executive Committee did attempt to seek reconciliation with Mr Chiam. To be sure, Mr Chiam has contributed significantly to Singapore and the SDP honours him. We will do this by inviting him to our 35th anniversary dinner to be held later this year. The differences between the SDP and him are miniscule compared to the problems Singaporeans are facing. It is important that we come together and work for the good of our nation. There are genuine differences in how the SDP and PAP want to take Singapore forward. On this we can have an honest, even robust, debate. But let us not continue to demonise each other just because we hold different views. Singaporeans want us to have a contest of ideas, not call each other names. Playtime Twincharged January 17, 2015 Share January 17, 2015 Remember the last election. CCS at a stadium upon seeing some aunties uncles being interviewed, immediately stepped in to physically cut them off. That's a really scary glimpse of his instinctive unfiltered style and character. If he acts this way when he is looking for votes and power, what will he be like once he achieves actually it? Well he be a mini LKY (the bad emperor parts) in the making? He has obviously been coached on how to talk and behave in public since then. But that glimpse is scary.

Kb27 Supersonic January 17, 2015 Share January 17, 2015 There are no saints in politics, not CSJ and not CCS who, goodness forbid, better not be the next PM. We said the same thing about LHL, when Goh was doing the seat warming.

Skymax 5th Gear January 17, 2015 Share January 17, 2015 Brainwashing since 1965 by our local MSM. Never see the letters/reviews/news about anybody from opposition but can only see/read the rebuttal. Skymax 5th Gear January 17, 2015 Share January 17, 2015 Talk is one thing man, when come to real situation handling it maybe hell lot of different story. I mean it's not so simple as ABC that sounds good on paper/speech. Wait till they get to the position, will they do as they walk the talk ?? Maybe yes maybe no as by then their perspective may change as they realise the big consequences of what the change in policies will do either great harm or good to Singaporeans, to the economy. Come on, you tell me SAF generals can run ministries? Proven, tested? Next, CCS is not battle proven. He didn't even win election. Remember Tanjong Pager was walkover by how many seconds? Someone remind me. That's your keechui guy. ↡ Advertisement
