That time cd bery exp $20

How to afford [smallcry]

Think more than 20 bucks right?

Anyway the stores I frequented circa late 80s to early 90s didn't carry many CDs. Cassettes were usually $8.90 unless they were rare releases from RoadRacer records (later RoadRunner) - those were $18.90 a pop. I never bought any but borrowed my friend's Sepultura's Beneath The Remains cassette. I later bought the cheaper Roadrunner original at $8.90.

When CDs were first released, they were like $30 a piece ... I used to buy them from Center Point 2nd level ... Cassettes were different, there was Original & Cover Versions... Different price.

Maybe Rage Against The Machine?

Or perhaps it was Tool?

Or maybe classic Guns 'N Roses?

Of course, in the modern era, it might just be something as "nice" and "mild" as CeeLo Green.

My point is: don't be so judgemental. It's just a word.

Wah, vey strong feelings expressed by both pro and against camps.

I just like to share my personal view.

If she was my daughter, I will be quite proud of her. Why?

1. She writes well...clear and articulate and is unafraid to express her views.

2. Her means to tell the store what's wrong may seem extreme, but it got the results....just that as a 17 year old, she may not have had the foresight to think her letter could destroy the brand. Frankly, when I were her age, it woukd seemed a logical thing to do....compare it with the HK kid protest leader...same difference.... I doubt he foresaw that what he did would result in the current situation.. I will not judge whether what he is doing is correct or wrong though, cos politics is really very subjective..even HK actors and directors etc are equally divided, and strong bonds of friendship broken.

3. Her parents have really brought her up well..if she was really out to seek attention, we would have read and heard about her a long time ago...why only now? Her views reflect her strong principles, moral and belief system....and who would have had been the biggest influence in her early years?

I don't understand what the din is all about.

Why not also write a letter to the authorities that they should ban that song or ban rap in this country? Shouldn't that make more sense since not only Forever21 is playing that song?

It's just a rap song for goodness sake and it is not like they are playing something illegal. If we don't like it, or don't think it is appropriate, just let the shop knows.

Just because the world didn't spin the way we expected doesn't mean it is wrong. Not appropriate perhaps, but there are much more things in this world that is also not appropriate. But we learn to cope and survive.

I worry for the next generation. Attention seeking, getting hits and impression seems to be more important than trying to get real work solved. They grumble, complain, kick a fuss when things doesn't go their way. If we locals are already viewed as not very street smart and a lack of survivor instincts, then I think the younger girls and boys are just going to be totally wussy.

Hmmm........ AWARE caught sleeping on this one .... [sly]

Sometimes going along with your parents is always good because can get the "same" things and they will pay for it... Now my daughter does this so she don't have to touch her piggy bank...
