My little suggestion - A parenting folder perhaps?

i was so against getting a confinement nanny... but my wife thought otherwise...

on hindsight.. spending some $$.. and learning from old hands is so much better than not doing so..

my wife deliver by c-sect so recovery time was longer and needed someone to cook the food for her..

having a nanny means first month can sleep soundly...

yeah we wanted but my wife was staying at her parent's house cos our BTO not ready yet. (wife won't want to stay in my parent's house lol)

Their house already 6 adults. so no space for confinement nanny.

End up whole family exhausted. Wife, mother in law, the men cos of the crying at night.

my dad also suggested to have kids when staying at his place.. long before i got my own..

although they say can help to take care.. but newborn really is different from say 1 y/o baby..

learn from nanny the best and of course learn from own baby their pattern to handle..

Thanks bro, yes of course hospitalization and medical plans shd be first priority. I always keep my investments seperate.

Any idea what is the general cost of a hospitalization and medical coverage plan? How much do they cover? up to certain sum or unlimited?

thanks again

So what did you end up with?

To those guys considering Confinement Lady, better check with your spouse or whoever is in the house for green light as well. Got a colleague who became a father, his mum didn't like the CL invading her kitchen and messing up her stuff etc. this caused tension at home and it reciprocated that the CL also felt pissed off and this rubbed off in the taking care of the baby.

In short, the whole episode left much to be desired. Living in our small flats and with old folks not particularly being accommodating, the commitment from every member of the household is required to make this work, so beware and good luck!!

If you are just a couple should be ok but problem with my friend is he lives with mum who is the queen of the kitchen so nit-pick on the CL, say she dirty, waste water etc, really tough on him and wife added to the stress of taking care the new born, totally unexpected he says!

Yes that's the best! Trust me you don't want to be caught in a crossfire between parents and wife!

Better start preparing for life without CL, can be a challenge by itself you know, good luck!!
