whoever working LAT here, can disclose some inside news

I read newspaper that from 1-8 month number of COE renew reached to record high, which means COE quota will deduct those COE renewal :D

i don't seem to see it in straits times, what newspaper was that?

based on LTA's data, i see there r abt 100 COE consistently being renewed every month this year. that's <5% of dereg.

imo, this is not significant so long the number of dereg keeps increasing n it will.

number of bid for Cat A has increased a lot (mayb due to 3 wks' break) but premium seems to stay low, which means agents r not willing to bid high. good sign!!

Cat A bid is a lot, look like it will roll over to next bid. So Oct 2nd Bid will still stay above $60k.

given that it's a 3 wks' break n the number of bids hv increased for Cat A/B, these results wasn't that bad. [;)]

but for bikes... record high??

Agreed. For a 3 wks break, the results are ok.

Moreover, Open CAT price (which is used mainly for big cars) also fallen, may imply that ADs are forecasting CAT B price may fall in coming months in view of larger COE quarter quota.

For CAT A biddings that has increased, the recent newspaper article has stated more people are interested to buy CAT A cars recently.
