I recently installed 2x ITB100 at Soon Lee audio (727 Geylang rd).

They charge $30 per single channel, or $40 for dual channel setup. Pretty good and fast. Just the place can be abit messy if many cars come at the same time. Will go back if I need to install cam again.

somewhere in Oct I ask them to help me change car key battery, they charge $10 for 2 batteries.... my car was parked further away, after battery change, I went back to car, still indicate car key battery low, I drove up to them and tell them my car indicate battery low, the fella say my key spoil liao... I say rubbish... then he brought my car key into the shop, came back out... say he help me open and polish/rub clean dunno simi thing....and it worked fine... so I left.... in 2-3 weeks, my key indicate low batt again...... was in JB and went to a workshop change 2 battery for rm16... now still working fine.. no low batt warning

I suspect, they did not change my battery the first time... I already tried my best to ensure it was really changed by looking at what they were doing.... 2nd time I went back, I suspect they change either 1 or 2 used batteries for me

small money wasted no problem.... but I have doubts on their integrity....... so this is a place to avoid for me

Hey guys! There's a guy who does installation of car camera island wide and his prices are definitely better than most shops. I just installed my iroad V7 2ch camera on my Forester. He charged me $50. His workmanship is definitely better than my previous installer! You can reach him at 86821003 Sky

He also have a good range of cameras at a very good price.

The problem with freelancers is that if got problems after installation, they may just ignore. Go to a reputable shop. There are better ways to save $$$.

Agree.

I got my blackvue 650 front and back from Authorised Dealer and paid $40 for installation. If u do get a reputable set, just ask them to install. Cheaper in the long run than getting it off the shelf and installing it separately.

If fault happens, they are still obliged to help you troubleshoot.

But if you get those cam that doesnt require complex wiring to fuse box or battery, might as well diy thEn.

No, blackvue 2 channel units are connected to battery source.

Dr380G can connect to car cigarette lighter source, but it's only single unit.

Can the Blackvue (2 channel) work with the car cigarette lighter voltage?

It is connected to battery source because it requires more power or because it does not come with the cigarette lighter connected?

Thanks!

2 channel cams like the DR650 have separate writings to be connected from the respective cams to the points of the car's electrical circuit. Because a 2 channel DR650 has a parking mode, such wirings allow power magic to be linked up to the circuit so that power to the cam can be cut when the voltage falls below the batt voltage. This capability will not be possible for connection directly to cigarette unit because power will be cut once engine is off, unless they unit has a battery which seldom such units will have.

Assuming even if the 2 ch dr650 comes with cigarette lighter connecting wires (which they don't), or someone manage to make modification to the wiring, having a front and rear cam will mean you'll need a multi-plug which is sourced into the cigarette lighter point. Still it doesn't support parking mode based on the same reason I have.

But i am aware that single channel blackvue cams that do not have parking mode have such options

Another of such really dependable brand is the Papago P3.

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing.

This is something I am looking for. It will not void my car warranty because it is not connected to car battery while giving me the option for 2 channels and maybe recording when car is stationary.

According to the website, the Cellink B battery can charge in 1hr 20 mins. I should be spending about 1 hour plus on the road every day (driving to office and back etc...) Does it really charge that fast?

thats full charge, so unless u park for 24 hr and the batt depletes, else charging is less than that
