Yes only a number of peoples are replying which means that there are thousands out there are not friendly driver lol

To be fair, it could also be a silent majority effect. Similar to elections, just because one party seems to be dominating the airwaves doesn't mean they will win the elections. I think all Singaporeans who have voted can attest to that.

Just to share -

this morning on my way to work... TPE exit to KPE, upon entering to KPE, i filtered right to overtake a couple of cars. At the same time, noticed a bike approaching fast on lane 1. I signaled left, moved over and he passed me pretty soon. What happen next brings a smile on my face, he raised his hand and gave me a "thank you" gesture. I believe it is captured on my car camera and post it up if possible.

More of these bikers or drivers will make driving in Singapore a more pleasurable experience!

Drivers who passed on their half used carpark coupons, its a small thing, but that driver who did that made my day.

Now I do the same thing too :)

This will soon be a dying practice as more and more carpark switching to EPS.

Another kind gesture will be a owner saw you waiting for a lot, he comes to you and tell you he leaving, asks you to follow him to his car. [thumbsup]

I have done and been doing almost all the kind gestures, including the one above. And of course nasty acts to those stuck up drivers too.

I Am those drivers who will signal even for pedestrians who are waiting to cross a road. I don't like to keep them waiting and then I turn left or right before them.

I can even alight during red light, and go to a nearby car to close their fuel cover.

Or wind down my window to remind driver to on their headlight if they happen to be by my car.

Can say all of them show appreciation smile and look after my act.

I can even tell a carpark summon man to wait a while more as the car owner is sending his child into the childcare under my hdb block.

My wife always joke with my son that "your papa always like to do this kind of things" lol

oh, i do that all the time.

cos i know it is a b**** to be waiting and waiting and still not get a lot.

the other thing i do also is, if i know you are waiting for a lot, i exit it first, so you can park. then i park on the side to do whatever adjustment i need before driving off.

and yes... adjustment includes scratching my balls, putting them in the premium place in my seated position before i engage gear to drive off [sly]

just want to take any doubts from fellow mcfers on what adjustments i do in the car [laugh]

I am doing this all the time and I had also met other fellow driver doing this ( telling me they are leaving ) in car park also.

You should try doing this also, maybe, soon, you will also meet other fellow driver returning you the goodwill !

Saw this on Facebook awhile ago and thought it deserves to be shared.

There are bad drivers as much as there are bad riders and all the bashing between both parties gets depressing after awhile so................

When someone horn or flash light at us, we should never jump to conclusion that it is aggression at play but rather find out why we are being horned or flashed light at. It can be embarrassing when someone horned or flashes light at us to forewarn but we reacted negatively towards such action.

Nevertheless, it's always good to take things in our stride when someone horn or flashes light at us for whatsoever reason so that misunderstanding and/or aggression can always be avoided.

Yesterday at Frankel Ave, saw 3 drivers got out of their cars and helped an old man cross the road to the bus stop at the opposite direction. The old man took about 5 mins to cross the road, and there was a long queue of cars. Everyone was understanding and no one horn.  [thumbsup] Then from the bus stop i take over liao. haha

If you have give way andkind gesture as waving him to continue on as a "kind gesture" even though you have the right of way.. you deserve a big pat of the back for being patient
