Earthboy 4th Gear February 13, 2015 Share February 13, 2015 hi bro, can share what is the usual lead time needed for delivery to your door? 1 month? I have bought air/oil/aircon filters a few times from Amazon.... make sure free shipping (if sold by Amazon). No issues - always fit nicely. Even the ignition coils are very cheap, esp for VW group. Main thing is plan ahead and buy a few weeks before you service you car, and perhaps even buy some spares for possible other needs. I keep a few ignition coils as the car is >100K and likely the coils will start to fail soon. Here buy one, Amazon can buy 3 with same amount.
Kippei 3rd Gear February 13, 2015 Share February 13, 2015 If continental car amazon is cheap. If asian car, oil filter is cheap in SG.
Volvobrick Supersonic February 13, 2015 Share February 13, 2015 hi bro, can share what is the usual lead time needed for delivery to your door? 1 month? Amazon is pretty fast.... Zze121 3rd Gear November 23, 2015 Share November 23, 2015 To all drivers Make sure you use the OEM ones. Dun believe the mechs when they insist that Sakura, Amp brands are just as good. That little price of metal can screw up your car I had used these chiong Oil filter before but I change them out before 8~9k milage, they look exactly the same as OEM, only thing is they dun come with a ring. one of the stockies told me difference is there is a spring inside a OEM filter. What kind of symptom/side effect does a chiong filter does to the engine after using them?

Only one the filter element inside is full size, the other shorter ones, the filter element is shorter and the top uses coil springs. The filter already the small one still reduce the size of the filter element, I think they are fakes.
waynefirewheels Neutral Newbie March 11, 2016 Share March 11, 2016 Try Amazon for Mann filter. I get it from there, both oil and aircon filter. Free shipping to SG too. Amazon free shipping? Apparently when I check out they charged me for shipping. Heard have to purchase like $125 and above to enjoy free shipping.
Ahbengdriver 6th Gear March 12, 2016 Share March 12, 2016 (edited) Whether buy from Amazon or Local Stockist, please buy original if possible, if not then get the OEM ones. By OEM, I mean the company that actually makes the filter for the car company. So like Mann, Mahle, for example makes for a number of conti brands. They are very close to original quality. Don't buy those cheap brands like some say, save a few dollars, wait you spoil yr engine bcos the filter cannot do its job. End up engine overhaul cost you $10k. End up being penny wise pound foolish. take care of your car, cars are expensive in SG. Edited March 12, 2016 by Ahbengdriver
Fastfive1 5th Gear March 12, 2016 Share March 12, 2016 You can use filters which are interchangeable. If i'm not wrong some nissan and mazda filters are the same size. So if you drive a nissan, you can use an original mazda filter and vice versa.
