I for one will be willingly paying my fines for my mistakes. What I cannot accept is precisely the double standards.

I sympathized with the David featured in the Facebook link. I had somewhat the same encounter.

My car inside a small lane was issued a ticket, but at the main junction, outside a certain religious institution, cars were parked all the way to the traffic junction. They were all spared. Not to stir religious discords here, but I think at least all including me should be treated fairly.

Religious institution, and some prestigious schools are exempted ....

There are bound to have white and super whites horses.... so, must exercise with caution mah

In all honesty, i don't think its double standard la...

single car parked usually means a random visit to the area and parked illegally...

a number of cars parked usually means that there is an event in the vicinity of which the LTA officer will take photos and return to HQ to ascertain if LTA will pursue next course of action...

similarly.. be it CNY, Xmas, new year... bound to have alot of visiting.. LTA officers will also give more leeway during festive periods..

So if you park 500 metres further up and got fined by the same warden, what will you do?

Is this a trick question? Coz I do not participate in events or party that involves an mp. But usually such events will be held around my neighbourhood if it involves my mp. I can always walk to the destination if I want to and no need for me to drive, I can walk. Like I said I'm not keen on such gatherings so no point asking me such a question coz I really dunno how to give you an answer.

I believe some drivers are like me, if there's no line of sight to my car I won't illegal park. Does this satisfy what you wanna know?

For obvious reasons such an incident that so conveniently involve an mp has its hidden agenda. And so many ppl join in to participate to stir sh!t w/o knowing the true intent of it. Is it worth the time and effort? For me personally I couldn't be bothered. IMO I do not want to be used as a tool to stir whatever the person behind this is stirring. LoL...

This one must be careful also cos sometimes they double park or in packs....so once parked you can't leave before their religious event is over.....

Then you must either park at the very first or last of the line, so its easier for yo to leave before the event is over :D

Yes, but churches and temples not included.

Just look at Bukit Timah Road, a thoroughfare. No yellow lines bus lanes when that stretch of road is served by many public buses. No give-way to bus "yellow arrow/box". But in outskirt roads in HDB towns, these are common features. Why? LTA, why? We can form our own interpretations.
