Bus captain sent to hospital with bleeding head after passenger beats him for missing stop.

Unhappy that the bus driver missed his stop, a 24-year-old man began lashing out at the captain by throwing him punches and kicks.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the incident happened at a bus stop in Lenglok Bahru yesterday (Jan 20), at about 2.50pm.

A commuter on board, Miss Zhang, 26, said that the man had pressed the bell in advance and was preparing to alight.  The bus driver however, somehow forgot to stop.  The man got down at the next bus stop, and proceeded to punch and kick the driver.

He must be really mad ... but violence can't bring back the missed bus stop ...

Now, instead of getting a bit late back home due to a missed bus stop, he may need to sit in jail and will only be back home many days later

This very stressful [sweatdrop]

Red Chevrolet ends up in drain at Ang Mo Kio Ave 5

A red Chevrolet ended up in a drain at Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 at around 4.54pm today (Jan 24).

Stomper Lucas spotted the car in the drain and alerted Stomp to it.

In a phone interview with Stomp, she said:

“There were no passengers in the vehicle and the lady driver was already out of the car standing beside it.

“Seems like no one was injured.”

She added that a Traffic Police officer was already at the scene.

A few points to ponder:

1) The girl is 11 years old

2) The IO said the boy confessed, then boy told mother "You say I am guilty, I’m guilty then”. Boy also told mother he did not molest the girl

3) Mother requested "interview" video from IO, IO rejected her

4) Mother said her son was not his usual self following his release. His hands were freezing cold and he hardly spoke. Boy’s sister added that he appeared somewhat “stunned”. She also queried the police’s assessment of her brother’s state of mind. “How can the police prove that Benjamin did not show any sign of being duly distressed?”

5) Boy's father said his son was a thoughtful young man who understood that his family was not financially well-off, and had been working part-time at McDonald’s to help lighten their burden

6) Boy was also popular with his peers. Friends from the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) attended his wake and gave his family a special tribute to their departed friend.

Made a mental note to include the following in my brat's upbringing:

- do not admit to anything that he is not guilty of, no I am Spartacus moment

- do not enter lift with a female alone

- do not enter lift with a male alone

- if taken in by men in blue, request for phone call. Else do not speak further.

Obviously the above points are easier said than done, it is a crazy world to raise kids.
