Or declining already, in terms of quality of life? I remember that at that time, we started to see prc filling up the ranks of manufacturing operators and techs. Anyway, tendency is we always see our youthful years through rose-tinted glasses, because at that time still stress-free without much responsibilities. I remember the early 90s in my schooldays as a high point in quality of life But when I ask the adults in my life then, whether life was great, I don't think they agree! In those days, I recall some saying that work environment was actually more stressful in the sense that juniors or subordinates were treated with less consideration. No modern people management practices then. Jobs were more scarce, educational levels were not that high, and people just have to take the abuse to earn a living.

Actually meant to say high point of SG Identity (can't edit the header) ... closest we ever get.. given the situation now... sigh.... Sinkie land feels and looks like some mini-PRC, mini-ABNN and mini-Pinoy...the Sg identity has nvr been more diluted... sad ah ↡ Advertisement
