BanCoe Hypersonic June 16, 2015 Share June 16, 2015 Stock is best. Nope .... all kinds of stickers of Mugen/Brembo and what not can make the car drive faster; especially fake carbon like ones

Ictruall 5th Gear June 16, 2015 Share June 16, 2015 Just checking a very "pimp-ed" up car , most irritating are those cars with tinted screens until cannot see the car infront when driving on highways or fast roads - anyway good that that they are doing some vigilance for illegit modifications especially the exhausts and tints; but I like to see cars done up artistically which should be fine please add....shades and curtains on windows too
Jayy25 6th Gear June 16, 2015 Share June 16, 2015 I've seen a Swift stopped by LTA on CTE a few nights back around 8pm for illegal mods... i assumed illegal mods coz the LTA officer was peering into his open engine bay.. sometimes depending on his mood lah.... if he want to disturb he can check everything including your license plate font size and spacing....there was a case recently, LTA even stopped a car whom placed his bicycle rack at the back of his car, blocking the license plate... so the rule of thumb is stay low profile, dont be "loud", (literally loud in terms of exhaust and also outstanding in appearance)
Icebrush79 4th Gear June 16, 2015 Share June 16, 2015 they are doing their jobs. I have seen policemen flipping up my bike cover to take a look before moving off. Nothing to worry if you are "clear" and nothing to get angry if they didn't "mess" up your ride/ride accessories. if you've tried paying your road tax late by 1 day, they will stalk/stake you out at your carpark everyday 24/7. Don't pray pray.... Have seen one LTA bike staking out one car every morning in my CP until the road tax was paid. Ya, they are just doing their jobs. Kinda pitiful enough to be at the mercy of the weather most of the time. Despite being old and some with flabby bellies, they have to bend down in positions that sometimes make yoga instructors blush. Furthermore, having to endure spiteful insults calling them dogs and accusing/questioning them of messing around with their cars, whether it is legal, blah blah blue. Come one, you are parked in a PUBLIC area. Any LTA officers who suspects that your ride is illegal has every right to touch your freaking car.

Beehive3783 Turbocharged June 24, 2015 Share June 24, 2015 I use shades on my side windows and rear windscreen. Nothing wrong cos it's removable and legal. I can see out so no problem too. Curtains are more dangerous. Can't see anything when drawn. please add....shades and curtains on windows too Can I add that those who go to carparks to spot check cars usually mean it's due to complaint from public. Absolutely no reason for LTA bike to enter HDB carpark just to spot-check, definitely is neighbor complaint. I am sure they got better things to do!
