flashbang Turbocharged June 27, 2015 Share June 27, 2015 This tinting thing is a real issue nowadays; The drivers all think they are some kind of VIP Seems fine is not a deterrent ; Lagi some put curtains somemore; Actually there are many other options nowadays besides tinting. Some cars come with inbuilt sunshades for the rear windows, driver can put their own sunshades for the front. Or use those UV film sunshades and stick on the windows. Those sticker type are they the plastic suction type right?? Most of them are the silvery fabric type (pop up type) and are used for blocking the sun completely right?? Most of them are the silvery fabric type (pop up type) and are used for blocking the sun completely right?? It's similar to the usual round sunshade that you can twist to keep, but it's made of some solar film material. The packaging says it can block quite a lot of the IR and UV rays. You can stick it directly onto your window, no suction needed. I saw it at Autobacs, selling for $8 each. I tried searching for it online but couldn't find an example. Obey_my_dog 2nd Gear June 29, 2015 Share June 29, 2015 All the lack of maintenance stuff can affect safety worse than the "illegal" mods too, but it's harder to enforce.. Besides, I think more people will complain about a loud exos than botak / improperly inflated tyres.. LTA is not interested in catching stuff that really poses a serious safety concern. Seriously just walk around any carpark and you can find at least more than 50% of the commercial vehicles in the carpark with thread depths way below the legal limit and LTA is not wanting to do anything about it. These vehicles are stationary and easy to verify their thread depths and yet LTA just turns a blind eye to this.

This LTA website is so embarrassing......its a freaking joke.....people from other countries(eg germany, japan, US, countries that actually build cars and know a thing or two about automobiles and safety standards) who happen to see this website will laugh their asses off......

Passion 5th Gear November 5, 2015 Share November 5, 2015 LTA super on the ball last night. Was at Upper Thomson around 8pm. Saw 3 LTA riding together and later chase after a Hayabusa. Stopped him and inspect the bike. Shortly, one of the LTA saw a modified Fit RS, hop onto his bike and chase after that Fit. 2 bikes corner that Fit and stop him at the bus stop. Super on the ball. Check exhaust, check engine, engine undercarriage, check lights, check tinting. The guy driving Fit RS, I believe his exhaust is one in a million that is approved by LTA. But tinting and engine, this I can't say. The guy driving Fit RS, if you are in this forum, Song bo?

Finally they tackle the problem of those who got the money to pay the fine and remove mods everytime they are being caught. At least make them go for so frequent inspections it becomes almost impossible to mod lo.

macrosszero Turbocharged November 6, 2015 Share November 6, 2015 More vehicular enforcement please: - illegible license plates - improper HID installations - bald or under-inflated tires When they fix these issues with real implications they can then work on other things like exhaust pipes and manifolds.
Passion 5th Gear November 6, 2015 Share November 6, 2015 This is a good sign. We keep complaining no enforcement, now they start whacking these modified cars, we should be thankful. Want to have powerful car, go and buy higher capacity. Modified exhaust got not much impact on power. Modified engine is waiting for fire to happen. LTA should use pokemon slogan. Pokémon! Gotta catch them all! ↡ Advertisement
