Klopp is not taking a break according to himself when he announced quitting Dortmund. So there is a chance.

More worrying is this: SkySports, BBC, Echo, Telegraph, Mirror all reporting that Brendan Rodgers is staying at Liverpool.

I am not sure how they can be so sure as the review only takes place next week at Boston. BR might have spoken to Gordon though

think FSG might be lenient this time round due to the transfer mistakes made last summer.

compared to Kenny / Comoli round, they placed the blame squarely on these 2. that's why they were fired swiftly.

BR needs to convince FSG that he has not lost the players and the squad's belief in him.

The other way to look at it is that FSG is trying to trial BR a few months while they wait for Klopp to finish his short sabbtical. If BR continues to misfire, they can then get Klopp on board when he is ready...

just guessworks here...

I am still of the view that BR is losing his job, probably after the review. I still remember back then everyone was saying Kenny is safe even 2 days before he was sacked.

Ancelotti confirmed taking a break, he needs to undergo a spinal op. Rafa likely to take over at Real Madrid. Klopp had said he didn't need a break, so the Bild report is kind of contradicting.

Back to Ancelotti, when quiz about his sacking, the RM president admitted that Ancelotti did nothing wrong. Did no wrong at RM tio sack. Confused....

rich clubs don hv to hv a reason for sacking someone. as long as they don win something, that can b used to sack.

Sami Khedira has agreed a deal to join Juventus this summer. He will undergo a medical later today.

That should pave the way for Arturo Vidal is to join Arsenal with the fee agreed at £25m.

Pool targeting Benteke? BR still having a say in transfers??

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-step-up-christian-benteke-5768041

Committee yet to dissolve. So we won't know who has the main say in this.

What I can share is this: if we ended up with Benteke, meaning the other two preferred choice we failed to get.

LFC are preparing a bid for Benteke and are hopeful that an offer of more than £20m will convince Aston Villa to sell. (Tony Barrett)

If £20m can deal, not too bad. As said before, signing him will indicate a shift to 4-2-3-1 next season

BR taking the flak for transfer committee's failings?

Interesting article on this and also questioning the logic of somebody else (be it committee or DoF) other then the Manager to make signings. I suppose this method has its pros n cons and obviously divides opinions. Time will tell if this is suited to the EPL as Pool seems keen on going for this approach.

if changing to 4-2-3-1, i would like to see Can n lucas as the 2 DM, coutinho, lallana n one new winger, n benteke upfront. pls no more Can as a defender.
