Snookium 1st Gear August 19, 2015 Share August 19, 2015 Saw this car in JB while washing car. Quite a good ride. I heard Sg Perodua is bring in this car very soon. Vinceng Turbocharged August 22, 2015 Share August 22, 2015 Rented a Myvi b4 in MY. Nippy, spacious but really feels like milo-tin on wheels. Dare not go beyond 80kmh on the highway as it feels quite unsafe..... If one has tasted the finer things in life (ie. daily drive is an expensive continental make), naturally a Myvi is like a milo-tin on wheels. In comparison, if someone whose everyday car is a Tata Nano, Chery QQ or Perodua Kelisa, the Myvi may feel like a Rolls Royce on wheels.
Vinceng Turbocharged October 18, 2015 Share October 18, 2015 (edited) Proton Axia will be launched in Spore in Nov 2015. Pricing expected to be about $85K for 1.0A based on current COE price. That's a whopping RM255,000, and can drive for only 10 years. The Malaysians must be laughing their heads off! This money buys them 10 Axia in Malaysia. Hydrocarbon Turbocharged October 18, 2015 Share October 18, 2015 Proton Axia will be launched in Spore in Nov 2015. Pricing expected to be about $85K for 1.0A based on current COE price. That's a whopping RM255,000, and can drive for only 10 years. The Malaysians must be laughing their heads off! This money buys them 10 Axia in Malaysia. At current COE levels, I dont think there will be more than a handful of takers for this. Why spend 85K for a Malaysian vehicle, when a Chery J3 S-Coupe (MIC) cost 5k less (with more bhp) and a Nissan Note (MIJ) cost 5K more? Doesn't make much sense for them to bring it in. Unless COE drops to 40K range, and this will cost 65-70K...

Vinceng Turbocharged November 23, 2015 Share November 23, 2015 (edited) Perodua Axia review is finally out: http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/review.php?AID=941&PN=3 Surprising that there's no manual option for a basic N.A. 1 litre car, whereby a hand job is the more sensible option. The writer is rather diplomatic in : 1) Not highlighting that the steering wheel is non adjustable, which means it might pose a challenge entering and exiting from the seat if the driver is above 1.7m tall or has a pot belly. 2) Writing that it "seats 5 adults comfortably". It may fit 3 of Serina Wee in the back seat with relative comfort, but 3 of Kong Hee in the back seat means having to sit close legged, resulting in the male testicle suffocating, and eventually leading to impotency in the long term. Current price of $87,888 inclusive of non-guaranteed COE is unexciting. Edited November 23, 2015 by Vinceng

Vinceng Turbocharged February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 The way the Axia is priced at $76K is asking for an early exit from the market. Same price as Mitsubishi Attrage 1.2 and Nissan Note 1.2. How to sell? Cost price of Axia with Cat A COE at $45K, is $60k. Price it at $70K with a $10K profit margin, still have some hope to sell. Even German made Ford Focus Trend 1.6 (which is worlds apart from the Axia) is selling at a profit margin of only $8K @$88K. ↡ Advertisement
