"Veterans" asking for respect but calling newbies whores over a simple change of vehicle badge.

Not that the brand or make is going to be changed but just the design of the badge.

Really wonder who is the one with the very low self esteem.

?

No offence but earlier when you mentioned about changing the badges of the Sorento, it didn't sound like it was for the design aspect. It sounded like you think the car is better than the badge or the badge is ruining the car and you don't want to be seen with the KIA badge. Whether it is true or not, whether you are truly a badge whore or not, deep down only you will know [:)]

(But I know too)

Seems like "great" minds spill out similar words.

Birds of a feather really flock together.

Low self esteem seems to come in pairs nowadays.

Common idiosyncratic behaviour?

Went to test drive the new Sorento and found the equipment that comes with it to be very good.

Hope to hear user feedback how reliable is the new KIA? I'm normally driving Japanese car n just routine servicing to replace the usual wear n tear items.

checked out the sorento too ... impressive interior and size ..big tyres , even sound of the door closing also sounded nice . Haizz only if now is year 2011 or 2012 without the 40 to 50% upfront downpayment.

only if people can get past the pricing for a korean brand too

LoL yea... 190K for a KIA is indeed something pple need to get their mind around..

I would be happy to jump in if the Diesel engine is selling for 160... But at 190 before discount is making me want to take a look around first at other options

I was also looking at this car. But they quoted Parf value to trade in for my mpv which due next year Sep. No point getting it now. Trade in now or scrap next year also same price. Then might well wait till scrap.

No choice has to ding dong until till mid of next year then I will make a decision. Hope more choices from now till mid of next year.

Last Saturday, Strait time life section has review on Diesel model. Torque magazine for the month of May also has review for SX model.

Look at it this way; to get an equilvalent spec turbo diesel SUV, u gotta go conti. And the price is easily double. So $190k is a half price bargain.

currently driving a ford smax , say say only ..if ever can change to this turbo diesel beast , is it considered a downgrade ??

Well that's when reliability / durability comes into consideration. I have no clue how does Kia Sorento fares when it comes to reliability / durability. Hoping somebody who have the previous generation of Sorento can share abt it's reliability feedback.

Don't want to buy 1 that has to visit the workshop often. Hoping to get 1 that only requires the usual twice per year routine maintenance and what needs to be replaced gets replaced there and then.

Soya,

Do not comment if u hav nothing constructive to add.

Don not worry I won't deem u as dumb or muffled.

I m extremely proud of owning a Sorento.

Btw there are many versions of the Kia badge which all represent the qualities of Kia if u r not aware of which I think you r definitely not.

Lastly u might need something much bigger than a pigeonhole to keep your mouth under wraps since u only express urself best I front of a screen.

seems like you have a serious insecure persona, as with the other fellow in the K3 thread.

Soya owns a Sorento and nuff said. PErhaps if you cannot be civil, then stay in the Korean forums.

aiya.....ppl wif low self esteem liddat one lah. easily get upset when others point out the obvious.

Not really concerned whether downgrade or upgrade when I change cars.. because how others perceive me, I am not bothered at all.

If really must.. I would say this new KIA Sorento is like on the same level as the Ford Smax, in terms of Singaporean context.

I like ur style! At end of day it's ur choice so hogwash to what others say.
