Donkey years ago, PIE Toa Payoh also have a tunnel supposed to filter out noise.

Guess what happen next?

Some cars love to hear their exhuast noise and rev higher while travelling that tunnel.

Created more noise than before and LTA says nothing they can do about it.

By the way, I love the fort canning tunnel when I am driving a TC car.

Men living in Sherwood Towers better don't be too happy. If the barriers really works, it just mean they will hear the wives' nagging even more clearly.

 

Man have built-in flipper in their ear. Don't want to hear, just activate switch. Want to pretend to hear, just close one side.

Assuming they build 10 stretches with total 4km. & costing 3.8 mil.

 

Works out to be abt $400 per foot run. But doubt it would be that long. So much more.
