unless you know the workshop in JB, spend that few dollars more, do it locally.

cos for 2nd hand tires, you never know why they were traded in in the first place.

if those tires were involved in accident before, they may already be compromised in some aspects.

 

and if you find problems with those 2nd hand tires, going back to the workshop is much easier if it was done locally. compared to having to spend time queueing on the bridge to go back there to get the problems resolved.

Agree with @Ahgong . Go some tyre dealers that got sell 2nd hand tyres.. Or can try your luck to see any suitable and good deal from direct owner at the marketplace section

tyre shop don't want them probably they know the problem of the tyre

so you are very kind to gave it to someone

if the existing tyre you think is so bad and safety above everything replace the tyre (new or 2nd hand)

go to reputable shop for 2ndhand tyre if you can.

as for new tyre can consider some budget range but need to adjust the driving habit at beginning

If pocket allow go for good quality tyre

if you intent to buy another car after scrap this car, just install a ste complete new tyres and rims, while you scrap your car, remove the set wheels, when you buy new car, install the set new wheels and trade in new car's wheel to tyre shop or AD
