You book in May?

6 bid is equal to 3 month wor..

You will get your car in Aug, provided they got the COE, stock available and any other terms and condition which you agreed on.

Anything earlier is bonus.

You can't possibly expect to collect the car 1 day after you placed the order or 1 day after the 1st COE bid is over ba. :a-fun:  :a-fun:

Only knew 6 bids can be no bids after i made tis post. hahaha... cos all along i thought it have to be 6 valid bids.

Nope I book during the carshow at Expo. :)

Twincharged

U are in a catch 22 situation

Coe shot up 7k and your SE did not place a bid

If it goes up by another 2-3k in the next 2 bids, even unlikely a bid will be put in.

So u probably have to wait for the 6bids/3months and hope u get it when it begins to dip

The AD profit margin for S60 is still high

So there is still hope

Looks like this round they gave the priority to the gauranteed bids

Nope. Never even been asked to top up. AS I said, I nvr asked for reduced COE rebate, etc. Placed the car order and go within 5-10mins talking to the SE, nvr bargain nor test drive the car. And this rd Wearnes nvr even place my bid into the system.

Understood the 6 bids agreed, but not the way the game is played. :)

Anyone can share the experience of owning the v60? Especially if you owned a 5 yr old one? Wonder how it performs over the years? I saw Dekra uk has a 100,000km assessment of used cars and the S60/v60 tops its mid sized class last year!!

I owned a S60 for 9 years. last year itchy changed to a diesel S60. had wanted to wait out till my car get scrapped but the offer for the diesel one was quite tempting.

My old S60 had been reliable even though i had chipped up the ECU (MTE).  usual wear and tear but i did my mechanical & oil services in MY so the labour is very reasonable. I get my parts from local volvo stockist.  nothing much electronic that i needed to go back to wearnes.   I don't trust local workshops as i had less than pleasant experiences with them.

What is the net price for event car after the overtrade (trade in price plus discount)?

Do u mean that used car dealers did not allow testing of used S60 unless an offer is made?

If so, this is not specific to S60, it depends on the dealers.

It is very easy to handle such situations

Say, dealer says, What is your offer? (from listed 102 888k price),

Just offer1-2 k lower, then go for the test drive

After the drive, just give some reasons why it is not up to your expectations, then u can walk off.

No point going into arguments with them why u must first make an offer.

They will frequently argue back that many come to test drive for fun, misuse the cars etc

Of course, If u go down with your spouse, parents, grandfather, grandmother and all the entire clan members, sure they will let u test drive bec this shows u are very serious about the car [laugh]

We are not bothered by the sales tactic, no test drive of car, we walk off, simple as that, it is nit as if it still dealer's market, the ball has rolled over liao!

End of da day, we will go see car and negotiate till we get our price and Like I said, We finally got hold of our dream car and the price exceeded our expectation than damn dealership  [hur] price.

We can even get our own car loan, towards the end of da day, the loan interest far exceeded current maker rate 2.98%, we got a lot cheaper than expected.

I notice the park assist control module on my v60 rather loosely held by a screw without a bolt to secure it. It can move loosely around the screw (lower left in the pic) but won't jump out due to the floor board cover above it. Wearnes tech said its normal but I find it odd for a component to not be secured firmly in a vehicle.anyone notice the same under your s60 /v60 boot floor board? I think it's a common part for both.

Anyone book the S60 T2 for $125K last weekend at EXPO?

The SE quote me 143k for this car just now after trade in, in house finance discount, list price is 155k. How come the price is so different?

Could it be that the price u mentioned was one year ago?

But it is close to 20k and the Coe difference is not that big, I am wondering if there is a new model launched between then and now. Just gauging if the price can go lower

Volvo list price not accurate

Your SE quote sounds about right

S60 T2 has low power, price has hit 130 + previously

125K is possible, management or showroom car

S60T2 price cant go below the V40 petrol which hovers around 120-130k
