Yeah... I still have my photo prints from that first trip in 2002 till now... I still remember that for every roll of 36 exposures you developed and printed, you get one free 8R print... so got loads of those 'large' prints in my albums... cos I still remember taking 30 rolls of film along and exposing about 17 rolls in total... pay until siao those days for developing the photos... heh heh...

I remember.  I also remember that buying a digital camera would be much cheaper than developing the film?  It cost almost $300 to develop everything and some photos were unusable.  A digital camera was like $200+ then

Ha ha... Digital camera cost only $300 then... no lar bro... I remember they were prohibitively expensive... I didn't get a DSLR until 2005 or 2006 and a Minolta Dynax 7D cos I started with the Dynax 7 film and it was the most cost effective brand then...

Haha...glossy or matt photos..any one remember ?

You cant get a decent digital camera for $200 la.

I paid $650 for my Ixus camera. A Fujiflim low end one maybe $350.

Maybe I misremembered but I remember it was like 200 plus but only 2MP or something.  Maybe it was second hand cos it was recommended by a friend to buy and I didn’t go to a shop to actually look then.

Maybe.  Don’t remember it being so expensive but then I didn’t buy the camera.  I did remember my original camera spoilt in israel and I bought a few disposable cameras plus a new cheap film camera (cos I realised it was more cost effective than buying many disposable cameras) plus several rolls of films.  Developed about 400 photos of which only about 200 plus were usable (who would have guessed my finger kept obstructing part of the lens).

Total damage for the cameras plus film plus development was about $300 plus and I remembered thinking a digital camera would have been cheaper for me.  But I didn’t buy any camera then so maybe I underestimated the cost of the camera

Ha ha... did a quick search... apparently a Canon Powershot could be had for about US$300 back in 2004... DSLR prices were pretty stratospheric in that era at around US$2000...
