Seriously, snails most often reproduce sexually. Even though a snail has both male and female sexual structures, they mature at different rates so the snail still has to have a partner to produce offspring. However, parthenogenesis (basically f**king themselves to make genetic clones) has been observed in some snail species.

there are of course teething problems currently currently, however I believe will rule over roads in the next decade, however government may not allow due to social issues like unemployment created for taxi drivers, private car chauffeurs, etc. Once the technology is well used, tested, and bugs are fixed along the years, it will become a norm and part of all our lives.

 

Of course it will kill the overall joy of driving your own car if you love driving, and if you are a super speedster on the road, then google car will not fit your needs. However I see more merits than credits such as

 

- fuel economy

- if you travelling from point A to B, really you can relax and do other things which the car takes you autopilot

- the more such cars are around, the better it is as it functions well as a network of cars, where the intelligent system can moderate the traffic, the logic of the rules of operation much better with the software and hardware technology

- on time, on target, and precise (of course if the software works)
