Jman888 Moderator July 29, 2014 Share July 29, 2014 Quote Last night we were victims of a HIT AND RUN. We were travelling on lane 1 from MCE-KPE-TPE, slightly before KPE TPE entrance, when a grey mini van from lane 3 slammed into the left side of our car and sped away. Driver was wearing a white tee shirt. Please can I ask for help to spread this video so justice can be served. There were several cars behind who witnessed the accident and might have managed to catch the vehicle no. Please report it or contact me. I can't sleep knowing that despite all the surveillance in the tunnels and the big talk about our efficient police force, nothing else can be done because the according to LTA and police, the cameras in the tunnels are meant to capture traffic flow only. Must there have been a death before this case is considered of high importance??? I have done the best that I can to push this matter into the masses in hope for a witness to come forth. Thank you all for sharing the video. We have tried to contact Transcab but they don't work on Sundays. According to police, LTA cameras in the tunnels are only for traffic watch and not able to capture vehicle numbers unless it was speeding. Next exit was Paya Lebar Road. The accident happened at 125am. Not sure why our blackvue camera was so pixelated either https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152506405891998&fref=nf saw this on my facebook, thought can share and see if anyone can provide any help. the van driver seem to be drunk driving ↡ Advertisement

Watwheels Supersonic July 29, 2014 Share July 29, 2014 (edited) I think too late. The victim shouldn't have stopped. She should have quickly follow the van and make a phone call to the police. Let them stop the van driver. If he's drunk, he will be arrested on the spot and the victim take legal action. Now even if the driver is caught there's no way to prove that he was drink driving. He will just get away by paying the damages. Edited July 29, 2014 by Watwheels

Most of the times when your car gets hit, the first reaction is to slam on the brakes. Isn't that what most people do? After that she was probably too shocked to chase the van or maybe felt the van is too far to chase already cuz from the way she hog the first lane you can see she is a slow driver.
Keira 4th Gear July 29, 2014 Share July 29, 2014 Here is my observations after watching the video: 1)Culprit was driving silver Renault Kangoo phase 2 model 2) Probably year 2003 till 2004, D865 (GW - GX plate) having a single tailgate door instead of the usual double tailgate door. (If I didn't see wrong after notice on near end of the video) This model is very rare in sg & not very alot left, Its first batch of phase 2 kangoo therefore Its renewed COE Kangoos Hope the above info helps
