ahn 2nd Gear September 9, 2020 Share September 9, 2020 Hi all, reviving this thread as I have a few questions about car wrap. I bought a 2nd hand car that has been wrapped since the car was registered 3 years back. Some parts of the wrap is scratched or bubbling and the handle area is slightly peeling. Do you guys know how much does it cost to remove the wrap? And which Workshop offers such services? If I intend to re wrap again, is there any particular LTA rule that dont allow certain finishing or colours? TIA! ↡ Advertisement
Simone Neutral Newbie September 14, 2020 Share September 14, 2020 Just to let you compare, I'm doing scirocco at $1700 before gst with Wrapstyle (from salesperson Ben). Getting this Cranberry color shift 😊 I'm a first time car owner (+female) so I'm not sure if I'm being shafted haha

Charges will depend on the workshop itself though. What I heard is those chrome colour not approved but still a lot ppl go ahead.

Just normal maintenance like using those pH neutral car shampoo will do. I have been using Meguiar’s Nxt car shampoo for many years.

My question is, can simple polish fix this? the scratch looks bad too, I think a respray is required. But the car looks old or it could be the photo? Would he respray ot if this is an old car ?
Ct3833 Supersonic September 20, 2020 Share September 20, 2020 I have never resprayed or touched up my car over the last 20+years but it didn't affect the performance of my car in any way😃😃. The only one time I visited a workshop was to respray my side mirror because the mirror was defective, the replacement mirror I bought was in black, so I have to spend $50 to respray it.

2wiremodem 1st Gear January 5, 2021 Share January 5, 2021 (edited) Would you guys recommend wrapping on brand new car or do it after a few years? Partial wrapping of just the roof and side mirrors to get the two toned style. Edited January 5, 2021 by 2wiremodem
