first thing is to remove the 10 days free VEP per vehicle..

$35 x 10 = S350/car..

let say one year at least 150 000 MY cars came in...

that is around 52.5 Million...

(if i am not wrong there are at least 4 million cars in Malaysia, of course not all come in)..

 

 

then they can implement Off PEAK VEP (after 5pm on weekday and on weekend) for MY cars at S$6.70/car...

 

So peak period came in, u pay S$35, off peak pay S$6.70...

no need to calculate and looks petty....just charge.....

Umm..report claim malaysia would have collected 2 bil if the levy was imposed in 2002 and 400 mil would have been use to improve the infrastructures. Won't mind paying that RM 10 only if they can account for the remaining 1.6 bil.

Unlikely is going to be per day.. Otherwise the SPR that drive SG cars will have to leave their cars in SG before going back home, esp for extended period such as long weekend or holidays.
