Darryn Turbocharged July 7, 2014 Share July 7, 2014 Only way there is something wrong is if the "decider", is some sort of employee or representative and takes undertable money to rent to the new guy. Otherwise all's fair and all that...
Soya Supersonic July 7, 2014 Share July 7, 2014 errmmm....if the landlord bring another tenant in who is in direct competition wif the previous tenant, isn't that super-competitive rather than anti-competitive??......

Soya Supersonic July 7, 2014 Share July 7, 2014 It is Refuse rental to previous one and rent to new one. unless there is an option to renew stated in the contract giving the tenant first right of refusal, what obligation does the landlord hv? Toalson 1st Gear July 7, 2014 Author Share July 7, 2014 errmmm....if the landlord bring another tenant in who is in direct competition wif the previous tenant, isn't that super-competitive rather than anti-competitive??...... But was told that a proposed rental increase was suggested and existing tenant agreed but was still eventually given the boot. I find that the clubhouse was trying to monopolise as all the other clubhouse is using their joint venture to run that service except this in question. unless there is an option to renew stated in the contract giving the tenant first right of refusal, what obligation does the landlord hv? Believe the existing tenant had completed the extension.

Sounds like a business decision then - the landlord wants to start his own business on the premises. Why shouldn't he be allowed?

(see my amended post) Guess i have to really suck thumb Better to spend your efforts seeking a new landlord than to "force" the existing landlord to renew the lease. Just my opinion. Edit: Yup I mean relocating. Edited July 7, 2014 by Ryu

Believe the existing tenant had completed the extension. Any correspondence in writing that show the owner agree to the increase in principle? If yes, u might want to see who is richer and fight out in court. If it's just verbal.. Suck thumb Liao.

I'm just trying to see if there is any flaw in the system. At least i tried all means to save the tenant. I'm in no way related to the tenant i am just one of those affected with the change. P.s. It is a child care centre

Toalson 1st Gear July 7, 2014 Author Share July 7, 2014 (edited) They are going to increase price???? Nope just kick exisitng and replace with their own joint venture. Landlord had proposed a potential increased (no actual amount proposed) but then susequently didnt offer the increase and decided not to renew Edited July 7, 2014 by Toalson

If a figure had been issue and vendor accepted then can fight. Now is nothing at all. Llst.
