What brake pad U choose for your car? Cheap? Good? Genuine ?

no idea because never use before, what I read online, generally they confirm will last longer than other types of pads and have better braking performance.

And ceramic pads are more expensive for sure.

Typically ceramic pads have less bite. But they are almost dust free. I would think they need some heat in them too. In order to bite well. Maybe not an issue in SG, since we don’t have cold weather

Yes boss, It is a soft pad ...... so it is very dusty (Brake Dust).

Now using NiBK, low dust pad ........Good.

Actually im contemplating on Hi-Q & sb nagamochi(price very gd but not much review).
when u say soft I assume it has good stopping power as such pads usually produce more brake dust.
How's yr NiBK compared to SB nagamochi?

Hmmmm ....... more brake mean wear faster baa....

Performance for these brand OK one.

Use NiBK because it is cheaper, much less dust and last longer.  I have a few sets of FR RR ..... ea. cost 10++ only at Fitipart during COVID lor...

time to pick up the spanners 

this car has pad wear sensor for front and rear brake but the message didn't tell me which one 😵💫

can't tell visually too as both front and rear pads wear until the same thickness (thinness?)

got to tikam and use a multimeter to check the pad wear sensor to confirm, I tikam rear brake

Change to originals ah? I cannot tahan Mercedes original dusty pads. Just 1-2days can see the dust liao.

wanted to ask you guys for opinion

this is the brake wear sensor

it has two wires, a two-prong connector

this is how it worn on my previous W204, triggered the brake wear message

do you guys think:-

1. the two wire is a loop, the wear breaks the wire, causing open circuit, triggering the brake wear message

2. the two wire both connected to +12V, the wear grind away the plastic insulation on the tip, allowing the probe to touch the brake rotor (GND/ground) to form a close circuit, triggering the brake wear message

looking at the way it worn on my old W204, I am more incline to No.2

yes, will use the super dusty original pads

while I had good experience with ATE ceramic pads, much less dust, but the braking power also not as jiak as the original

my wife is a fast driver, better give her some jiak brakes

I just switched to endless ssm plus for my cheapo jap. Much better than stock but yet very little dust. Super happy. Silent as a door mouse. Zero sound
