basket why only ask me [mad][mad]

actually i was looking for those too and saw it selling in a few places, even at petrol koisk.

but then i end up getting a Nokia window phone for my mum (70+, not too old to use a touch screen and i set up the menu in chinese for her :D ) and sign up a singtel redpac plan for her (without data). I used to have pre-paid for her but the top up part was quite lechey.

You belong to this age group ... [sweatdrop]

I have just received the redmi yesterday and played with it for a while. It has the lite mode which I think is suitable for old folks. It basically turns the home page and apps icon into large square blocks, like a mini version windows mobile os. It uncomplicate the homepage with only the basic phone features like dial pad, sms, contacts, browsers. Other apps are still accessible although hidden.

Dial key pad is huge too. Another feature which is good for the old folks is the voice input sms. The mic accurately translate my lousy mandarin speech to words.

Contacts is also easily accessible from home page, and each contact icon is large.

Still exploring if there's emergency button.
