I find at least the storyline is okay. Sometime we just have to watch a show for it's entertainment value.

Not every show is like infernal affair 3.

I think the robots thing is too over the top. Detracts from the entertainment.

I wonder if any of their test audience actually says. Eh this is a shitty movie, can u make the robots movement more appreciable to the human eye?

The way I see it. They spend a lot of effort in part 1. And we know how much we like part 1. Come part 2 they become lazy.

I remember they say they study all the parts of vehicle use in part one to find out how they can transform the vehicle?? Wonder if they do it for part 2. And to be honest, I seriously doubt he did.

The reason why Part 2 is shitty is due to the 2007-2008 Writer's Strike in Hollywood where any writers go on strike, included the duo writers for TF2. The movie was behind schedule and Michael Bay had to get someone else to edit and write some of the scene. Hence the end result is a mixture of inconsistent rubbish that was good at some scene but shitty and campy on the another.

I think alot of movies made during the writer's strike end up delayed or having sucky plot/story....

I don't really have problem with the storyline although it's erm... A bit mystify for a transformer show..

But the filming itself is horrible. When two robot fight. All I see are chunks of metals rolling around.

Part 2 is horrible....

it killed the dreams of many fans of original transfomers (obviously including me), because transformers shouldn't be able to transform into a human form

it's not a terminator

Abit off topic but still within the realm of Transformers:

Ok folks, we all know Michael Bay's Transformers can be shitty. But For those who still longed for some old-school Transformers styled media, without the campy storyline like in the old 80s cartoons. I strongly recommend the follow comic:

Transformers: The Last Stand of the Wreckers.

Last_Stand_of_the_Wreckers1B.jpg

Remember the old days when everyone would buy their favorite transformers toys like Optimus prime, bumblebee and so on? These mainstream toys are usually selling fast and gone in days. Then all you are left with are those unpopular or fugly transformers toys serving as peg warmers.

They are usually in abundance and cheap but on one buys them. They are also the ones getting alot of discounts but you still won't buy them cos they do not appear in the cartoon and are not "cool".

This story is about them. These forgettable characters are finally gather together and formed a team called "The Wreckers", basically they are cannon fodders and their sole purpose is to die in the missions they are sent.

This time, a group of unknowns are sent to do the dirty job of freeing an Autobot prison that was unsieged by Decepticon renegades and lead like a Psychotic Leader. We all know the Wreckers will be killed but the plot leading to the mission and the twists made this one of the best Transformers story in History.

Pure robots, no humans no spiky robots bullsht.

The tagline of the series:

“The story of ten soldiers and a stowaway who rode into the valley of death. Cannon to right of them, Cannon to left of them, Cannon in front of them. Volley’d and thunder’d. It’s a story of sacrifice and betrayal, and of good people dying in stupid, pointless ways.”

There are 5 issues for this series, but you can easily buy the full volume via amazon or in kinokuniya. I recommend the softcopy from comixology or apple ibook.

Here are some of the shots in the comic:

OK, TGIF! Let's roll....

Part 2: The Dinobots

Countless request for the Dinobots to appear in the previous movies was rejected by Michael Bay himself, citing it's ridiculous for a alien to be in Dinosaur form as it serves no purpose in the logic of "robots in disguise". But since when logic applies to his movies anyway. So finally he gave in and added not just Grimlock to the 4th movie, but his whole team of Dinobots!

Grimlock.jpg
Grimlock
This is one of the most favorite Transformers since the cartoon days. The fearless leader of the Dinobot is even stronger than Prime himself. He looked down on weaker bots and humans whom he see them as inferior. But the good thing is he hated the strong bullying the weak even more, and forged an alliance with the Autobots to battle the Decepticons.

In the cartoon, he is strong but dumb, to the point that he serves as occasional comic relief. In the comics, he is more serious and only "acting dumb". Having his own agenda and defying Optimus countless of times. At the moment he suffers from serious brain damage from his battles and became permenantly retarded.

In the movie, it will be interesting on to how he's like. Grimlock has big ego and pride. He will never let anyone sit on his back. The movie is the first to potrait him submitted to Optimus. It will be interest to know how that happened.
Alt Mode: Robotic Horned T-Rex

slug.jpg
Slug
Originally named "Slag", his name change was due to the discovery that a Slag is also a vulgar word in Europe. The Slag in the cartoon is just as dumb as grimlock. He is also known to be aggressive and hot-tempered. Charging into battle without thinking. We expect Slug in the movie to be somewhat similar in character to Slag in the Cartoons.
Alt Mode: Robotic Triceratop

slog.jpg
Slog
Originally named "Sludge", his name change is unknown, most probably to make him sound awesome. In the cartoon, he is the largest Dinobot but also the slowest and dumbest. He made Grimlock look like a genius. He special ability is create Earthquakes and groundcracks from stomping. We expect Slog in the movie to be somewhat similar in character to Sludge in the Cartoons.
Alt Mode: Robotic Sauropod

Strafe.jpg
Strafe
Orginally name "Swoop", strafe is the only dinobot capable of flight. In the cartoon, he is suppose to be the smartest and fastest among the dinobots athough he is the weakest among them. In the movie, his alt mode is a 2 headed Pteranodon instead of a standard Pteranodon. We have no idea why.
Alt mode: 2 headed Pteranodon

snarl.jpg
Snarl
Snarl is the only Dinobot besides Grimlock to retain his original name. In the cartoon, he is the 2nd batch of Dinobots created by Autobot Scientists. The intelligence of Snarl is dimwit and often cannot catch the speed of people talking, let alone knowing their jokes and sarcasm. he is quite slow by nature, but he has the most powerful armor. His spine plates can deflect most laser projectiles and project their energy into his tail lasers. His alt mode, like in the cartoon, is a Stegosaurus. It will be interesting to see Michael Bay's take on this otherwise, boring and stupid dinobot.
Alt mode: Stegosaurus.

slash.jpg
Slash
We do not know who slash was based on from the old cartoon/comics. It could be a new Dinobot in the group, it could also be based on an old character in the Transformers "Beast War" cartoon call "Dinobot". That's right, the character's name is called "Dinobot". That's due to the similar alt mode of the character which is a feathered Velociraptor. Dinobot's an ex-Decepticon(or rather Predacon) who sees the incompetence of his leaders and decided to join the AUtobots (or rather Maximals) instead. It was a formible ally and had help the autobots(Maximals) in many occasions. Let's hope it's based the complex character that was well loved in the "Beast War" 3D cartoons.
Alt mode: Feather Velociraptor.

scorn.jpg
Scorn
He is a new character in the Dinobot team. We still do not have any idea how he will be. He could be taking the cue from "Dinobot" or he could have his own unique personality. His Alt Mode is a 2 legged Spinosaurus and possibly Grimlock's deputy.
Alt mode: Spiked Spinosaurus

Part 3: The Decepticons
It is to note that the Decepticon lineup for this movie is lesser than usually, probably due to the introduction of a 3rd evil human faction (which Li Bing Bing is probably working for). Nevertheless, these are some of the iconic Decepticons we can expect:

Galvatron.jpg

Galvatron
In the cartoons, a dying Megatron was rebuilt and reformatted as Galvatron by a Transformers Demigod called Unicron. In the comic, Galvatron an is an ancient non-factioned Cybertronian who took part on a quest to dominate the Universe, and eventually seized control of the Decepticons after Megatron's "defection". Whether you follow the cartoon or comic, one thing is constant, he is ambitious and to the point that he is crazy. It will be interesting which story the movie Galvatron will follow or whether he will be a unique character or a rebirth Megatron in the movie.
Alt Mode: A Trailer Cab

lockdown.jpg
Lockdown
Yup, this is the guy in the trailer whose head transformed into a gun. In the anime cartoon and comics, he is a decepticon but did not participate in the war. He is more like a bounty hunter or Megatron's personal assasin. Think of him as Transformer's Boba Fett. In the comics He was a merciless killer and never fail his job, until he was tasked to captured Drift. This will be an interested take considering that Drift also appears in the movie. It will be cool if both Drift and Lockdown fight it out in the movie. There are rumors saying that his ship will be a major plot device in the movie and he works for someone more sinister. Lockdown did not appear in the Original Cartoons.
Alt mode: Lamborginni Aventador

junkheap.jpg
Junkheap
In the cartoon, Junkheap is a non-faction robot that live in a cosmic scrapyard. He is known as a "Junkion" and trades with Autobots, hence his alliance is which the autobots. It is strange that he is depicted as a Decepticon in the movie. And it's not like there is a lack of decepticons for them to use. Maybe it's due to someone wanting a "Garbage Truck" to be used the movie. We have no idea what is his role in this movie.
Alt Mode: Dump Truck
