wooo... so orion was optimus prime renamed.
i lost track of the comics long time ago.

the variants and the tangent storylines are so many today, it will bankrupt one just to catch all of them~!!!

Didn't watch it when it was on film as during then, the girl I wanna chase watched it with her BF.

No one to go with, I had skipped the show.

 

Then I think Titanic 3D came right?

Wanna watch with my wife but both forgotten about it.

 

So waited for years to watch the show, in my living room, wife asleep, alone.

Orion Pax was Optimus Prime before he became a prime.

 

The page I attached happens post-war. Megatron is MIA and the decepticons are leaderless. The mass of the non-afliltate cybertronians returned to cybertron after the war and there were protests here and there to oust Optimus Prime.

 

So in the end, he resigned as the leader of the autobots and hence the page.

 

The comics (by IDW) were surprisingly deep in some issues. I was hooked many years back and followed them closely ever since.

 

Will it bankrupt me? In depends how much will bankrupt you haha. If you have ipad, download the Transformers comic app (by comixology) and be blown away, it's much cheaper than the paper version at old issues are heavily discounted..

Must warn you first hor, US comics cycles their artist, some of the artists are quite bad, especially for the guest artists. But most of the regulars rocks.

 

If you are reall interested you follow the series this way.

 

1) All Hail Megatron (4 issues, one of the best)

2) Last stand of the Wreckers (4 issues, one of the best)

3) Transformers (7 volumes, the artwork of the last few issues are dissappointing)

4) Stormbringer (4 issues)

 

Post war (both running concurrently)

5) Transformers: Robots in disguise (5 volumes)

6) Transformers: More than meets the eye (5 volumes, the best of the whole series)

 

 

The app is available in Android but it's call "comics" by comixology too. This one is different cos it's comics in general and you have to search for the series, which is more tedious.

 

Anyway Comixology's user ID is scalable so you buy the e-comic, you can login and download/read it in any platform you own, PC,android,Mac all the same ID and same comics available. I currently buy online from my Galaxy S4/PC and read from my ipad. they use paypal.

I kinda like AOE. Ppl complained about the storyline but this is the first of the new trilogy and i guess some questions will be answered in the sequels (the creators, the seed etc).

The first movie was not too bad then went all the way down for the ROTF. DOTM is better than the second movie but the final showdown was dissappointing. For AOE, the most dissappointing part are the dinobots. From the trailers, it is thought at dinobots played a big role in the show but they only appear in the last 30mins. And there's even no dialogue from them. I was pretty excited to see if Grimlock will talk like he did in the G1 cartoon but he din even spoke a word. Also, the human roles were quite weak. Mark Walberg's appearance is not the most suitable to protray an inventor who is broke and spent most of his time in the workshop.

But overall,my pov is that the movie was much better than the 1st trilogy. Being darker and more complex, i will look forward to the sequels. That is if, Bay will answer all the questions from AOE.
