Spring Moderator April 14, 2015 Share April 14, 2015 I think LTA is headache how to do coe claw back I believe they already have a plan or at least an idea of how to implement this which will likely be after the GE only. IMO, they will not want to add on to the already expensive COE so as not to agitate the motoring public further and esp as our public transport is also not up to mark yet. ↡ Advertisement
MQX87511 5th Gear April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 (edited) I think LTA is headache how to do coe claw back finally Toyota back to No.1 top 5, 4 from Japanese https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/dam/ltaweb/corp/PublicationsResearch/files/FactsandFigures/M03-Car_Regn_by_make.pdf Edited April 16, 2015 by MQX87511
Jp66 5th Gear April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 so BM should be the culprit pushing up coe price finally Toyota back to No.1 top 5, 4 from Japanese https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/dam/ltaweb/corp/PublicationsResearch/files/FactsandFigures/M03-Car_Regn_by_make.pdf
Forte3737 5th Gear April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 Yes. Their Altis is the main reason. If there is no BM, coe prices will not be so high. I expect CAT A to be 55k so BM should be the culprit pushing up coe price Its actually bad news or good news for them to be in No.1. finally Toyota back to No.1 top 5, 4 from Japanese https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/dam/ltaweb/corp/PublicationsResearch/files/FactsandFigures/M03-Car_Regn_by_make.pdf

Forte3737 5th Gear April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 They will simply make the CAT A premiums even higher Err, what's so happy about Toyota back to No. 1?
Fcw75 Hypersonic April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 Precisely. They are the main culprit.
Bismarck Turbocharged April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 Honda doing well. Already saw quite a few Odyssey on the road recently.
Beehive3783 Turbocharged April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 Vezel is the main reason for the high sales figures. Odyssey not so much. Honda doing well. Already saw quite a few Odyssey on the road recently.
tyco_kia 4th Gear April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 Vezel is the main reason for the high sales figures. Odyssey not so much. wow! I wonder what's the figures like for Vezel. I don't think the makes in KM showroom are selling well but that's just my guess la.
Alheych 6th Gear April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 Err, what's so happy about Toyota back to No. 1? it'll only convince LTA that the 130bhp and 97kw cutoff is working because cat A is once again dominated by "bread-and-butter brands". must remember that toyota has everything from passo to LS600hL... but to have toyota on top of the charts will look better for policymakers than to have mercedes.
Beehive3783 Turbocharged April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 You're right. From KAH: Accord, hardly see that nowadays, except those from Malaysia Odyssey, just a few Civic, don't even bother Jazz, yes there are increasing numbers on the road The real star is the Vezel. KAH hasn't started selling it yet (HRV) so the PIs are getting all the business. Everyday I commute between my place and my MIL place I see at least one Vezel. My wife loves the look, but too bad la. No vitamin M to inject, so continue to drive current car lor. Haha. wow! I wonder what's the figures like for Vezel. I don't think the makes in KM showroom are selling well but that's just my guess la.

They still have the Mobilio but don't think the sales isn't fantastic either. Yea I will see a white Vezel every morning. Quite a nice car I must say and for that price also quite a good buy. I used to drive a Civic 06' registered and now hardly ever see any civics around...so sad la considering that Honda sold like 5 digit amounts of that design from 06 to 08.
