Sometime when do engineering trouble shooting , juz have to go back to basic for the solution...

 

Mineral oil is still use widely in certain industries...

Car gearboxes are peanuts, gearboxes use in heavy industry are subject to much higher stress and load where mineral oil are still welcome..

Importantly viscosity to be right, oil must maintain clean, operating temp is correct n etc..

Simple as A B C...

Not like automotive industry blah blah blah syn oil, blah blah blah brand.. All are juz make up as marketing tools to sell and make profit...

Car is like human body. Wear and tear will occur thus maintenence and regualr 'checkups' are impt.

 

 

I remember I watch a video (cannot remember wat car brand) showing that the gb oil no need to change.. like the oil is design for lifetime.

Only need to topup or changes if there is leak or something like that...
