Nice job!

I also bought the scuff plates and the big piece for the boot area, but haven't gotten around to fixing it up.

Any tips? :D

Hi All,

Just sharing on DIY make up of the M5. All items bought from Taobao. Spend a couple of hours, but saved a bundle.

Items included the set of scuff plates for the 4 doors, the chrome rims on the wheels and the window skirting. And the rain visor too.

Replaced the cabin light to white LED too, but that was done locally by TLW.

Point is, there are many DIY possibilities and it does not cost a lot.

Neutral Newbie

Hi guys,

Just sharing magnetic shades purchased from Taobao.

1. Quality and fit is good. They give clip/ bracket as well but I was able to clip it on without the bracket.

2. Able to buy 2 pieces only, bought the 2 back pieces using ezbuy, all in plus transport(with free agent fee) around SGD 60. Quoted SGD 180 for 4 pieces in Singapore.

3. Need to tell them your car make/and year of model in the ezbuy app.

4. Pictures below, pictures bit dark as underground carpark.

You just need to make sure the surface is clean and oil/grease free, and you may to standby some extra strong double sided tapes (those 3m type for car use) just in case the one that comes with it is not so sticky, and the rest is your time and effort. Go get it done, it's easy.

Nice bro.

I got a set of curtains for all 7 windows. Took me sometimes to fit it. But to deco the car, the effort is well worth it. Cheers.

Btw, there were some bro's here mentioned about the lack of beep sound when we use the remote to lock/unlock the M5, TLW mention that they can mode the alarm with beep feature and still back the origina remote, and they claim it will not void warranty. They have the $100+ and the $300+ mode package with different function. FYI.

In the Mazda 5, there's the red display that shows the aircon settings, fuel consumption info - there's an empty slot that was suppose to show the audio settings, but it's now blank.

Anyone knows if I can somehow connect the OBD to show the vehicle speed/engine rpm at that empty slot?

Hello M5 owners,

Checking another 2 points

1. What's the normal cost for regular maintenance? Did I read somewhere in this forum it says around $400?

2. Has anyone connect your iphone (CarPlay) or android (Android Auto) to any the given entertainment system?

note: i see this supported in one of the video I watch for Elantra. It adds the functionality of the whole unit. Nice... I asked in Mazda showroom but the answer not convincing enough.

TIA  [thumbsup]

Means u still can watch movie while driving. It is also to train your focusing power while been mindful of TP on the road.

28508T.

Actually nothing great about airplay wat...many apps cannot support Airplay...

Yeaaaah.. maybe not much used in the end. I'm not a road warrior --- and don't talk too much on the phone either.

Just those add-on that i think nice to have.. can use Siri and Google now for handling text, phones and maps. Also -- if lonely while driving, can ask Google to search silly stuff.. :)

Thanks anyway.....................
