Mr_biscuit 3rd Gear March 14, 2016 Share March 14, 2016 Open cat top up 6k 1bid 2k I'm surprised that Mazda offer such deals to existing car buyers. This is the first time I heard of topping up extra $2K for next bid to be guaranteed, sounds like just enhancing your next bidding to maintain their profit margin. Topping up $6K for Open Cat COE is hilarious, and One should just top up $2K for 6 bids guaranteed right from the start of closure. How much did you buy this Mazda 5 at point of sale? $108,888? 1 failed bid?

But since I sold my car and the other party can wait for 1 more bid, I tot just use 2k to gamble. Why is 6k Hillarous? Actually I can't recall 6 or 8, cos that was out of consideration so i didn't bother to hear carefully. I'm surprised that Mazda offer such deals to existing car buyers. This would actually be their extra profit given that the recent CAT B and Open CAT COE are not much far off. To be honest, the price you paid is quite correlate to the current COE price; and I always thought that buyers who paid this price should have gotten their COE the last round. Seems like this recent COE bidding, there isn't any successful Mazda 5 bidders.

I do not know other SE in Mazda, my own experiences at Mazda is that they always try to squeeze out as much as they can. Sad to see it is still a common trick they did on us as customer They will never over trade your used car, and some more they will tell u they cannot match the car value other agent gave you. And then .....SE will come back to you after few round unsuccessful bids, and ask you to top up, especially if you shared with them you need car urgently. It is all about $$$ , they want more from us ....
Stkm1234 Clutched March 15, 2016 Share March 15, 2016 6-8k top up for open cat is way too much considering that there is little difference between the two. Mine booked (105k) with 3yr warranty, 40km servicing (i think, can't remember) and 1yr road tax. Never let them know you are desperate for car. cos they'll squeeze you for more $$$. Previousviosdriver Neutral Newbie March 15, 2016 Share March 15, 2016 (edited) This week travel more expressway (80%)....on some mornings, aircon off/moon roof open. travel speed about 80km/hr. About 13km/l.. cheers. Very mpressive FC, YongLip. I use SPC 98, air-con 27C, dvd TV, 280kPa on all wheels, 90km/hr, turn off dsc. Very please to see "6"00km for the first time. I should have pressed the info button to show remaining distance. let's say 50litre/12cubes*11= 45.83litre (see photo, photo shows i used 10 cubes, but i think it is almost 11 cubes) 600km / 45.83 l = 13km/l too ! Show your best FC and tell us how do you achieve it. I climb slope slowly, use intermittent acceleration. Make use of gravity on downslope. Use current fuel indicator to train your foot. Just my 2 cents worth. Cheers

Mr_biscuit 3rd Gear March 15, 2016 Share March 15, 2016 I am glad you bring out this topic because even with 285kPa, my tyre still looks deflated. Assuming you are using the stock 16" Toyo J3 tyres given by Mazda, these are comfort tyres that have soft sidewalls that are designed for comfort. Tyres with soft sidewalls will always appear deflated, but not to worry as long as you have pumped to the recommended cold tyre pressure. By over-inflating your tyres, the ride will be more bouncy; and it will affect your ride's handling characteristics too with lesser contact on the ground. Thank you for your explanation for tyres with soft sidewalls appearing deflated. No wonder they look so sag. My ride is slightly bouncy over humps, I know and i slow down. What is the reason that the recommended pressure for front tyres is lower than back tyres. I thought the engine is heavier. Based on the look of my tyres, the contact of the rubber on the road is a lot even at my kPs. I am confident on the handling the car, even without DSC. My previous rides also do not have DSC. Based on the description of DSC, I think it consumes energy, therefore I turn it off. I feel it is easier to turn without DSC in a multiple storey car park. Anyway to turn off the rear mirror green light permanently ? Anyway to turn off the sound system before shutting down engine ? The supplied GPS is so slow to find direction sometime. I have to stop my car on the roadside to wait. I also hate it when the display changes when i am about to key in the last digit of the postal code. 0-9 display disappears and I have to refocus my eyes to find the button with the right postal code. This is very dangerous to operate the gps while driving especially with changing screen. Just let me key in the last digit of the postal code. I already know where that number is on the screen. Law_wish Clutched March 16, 2016 Share March 16, 2016 Happened to found this thread with M5 owners in Singapore. Just to share, I booked my ride on 5 Feb 2016 at $103888, 6 bids non guaranteed bidding. When Coe results out on 17 Feb, SE told me unsuccessful. After few hours, he told me to top up $500 and company will give me open cat $44k. I declined and told him i am not urgent in getting the new ride since my car is due June 16. Next day he told me company agreed to give me open cat with top up $250 which my SE say he will pay. So considered lucky to get at this price with non guaranteed bidding. So end of day, I guess is up to company or SE if he can help you to get Coe from company. Wondering if anyone starting any Facebook mazda 5 club. Warranty 3 years or 60k whichever comes first. ↡ Advertisement
