I am thinking of porting over my headunit, amplifier and speakers into the new car. Want to find a workshop that have experience in dismantling the interior to run the cables. Don't want a situation where the plastic parts start to creak after installation. Thanks!

I have been thinking about whether to upgrade since I collected the car. Didn't have enough motivation and courage to do it, I am afraid to void the car warranty. I have the speakers and amp ready but shortfall of going to the installer.

Between, will you consider to do a car paint protection too?

The cost is abt 580 to 600.

 

Btw you can remove the led screen to paste screen protector after upgrade installation. You need to bring a hdmi cable + another Usb cable.There usb 1 and usb 2. Suggest buy flat cable type so that you can extend it to the gap below handbrake.

Hi!, I got 3 years free servicing. Maybe you would like to push for min 3 years. Otherwise, just move on to the next sales guy.

I am taking the min. loan (30K, 1yr) and no trade-in (selling here is better), I thought that may lead to my 20K quote with 1 yr servicing only.

Anyway, need some help from Bro...

 

1) how to set the 'Beep' sound when I hit the unlock/lock button at the remote key? Cannot get use to silent mode... 

2) interior light too dim... would like to change by DIY. Are they using 31mm type for the middle cabin light?

3) wind up or down of passenger windows in a single click.... (I'll check the manual if I go the time tonight....)

Just go ahead and do lah. Proper installation won't cause any problem to car electronics one.

 

Just done PPS few days back at New Age Polish. Cost is $780. 3 years warranty and 10 times free maintenance service (car wash) to be used within 6 months.

Ha.. collected my ride this morning... super excited... then started to rain Cat 1....

 

Anyway, need some help from Bro...

1) There's no built-in siren for M5. If you need the beep sound, you'll need to install aftermarket alarm system.

2) Middle cabin light is 31mm festoon. Front cabin lights using T10 connectors.

3) Only driver side is Auto. It's written on the button. The rest you'll need to whole the button to open/close.

I suggest you go for glass coating paint protection then you dont hv to worry about rain or shine anymore. Even bird dropping can be removed easily beside your car's shine will last much longer. You dont even need to wax your car. Also you should upgrade your HU to 8750bt while its still new. You wont regret. I did both and i am glad i did both.

Yes, it's like that. My previous Honda Stream Cool Amber (closer to brown) also registered as grey.

I dont trust alarm system anymore. Can be more of a nuisance then help. Just read how alarm system are easily hacked in JB.Its better to install a very reliable car lock and park your car in a safe place. I used the car's side mirror which folded when you lock the car as an indication.

 

That's why I also didn't bother to install aftermarket car alarm. M5 already came with factory car alarm that will sound the horn when activated. To try it out, stay in the car after engine is off. Lock using remote. Wait for the flashing red key icon on your odometer to stabilise and unlock from inside the car via the door lock and the horn will sound. To "unhorn" it, simply use the remote to unlock the car.

 Mine was Aluminium Metallic, but stated 'Sliver'.

I was asking up and down on this... was told by the Service guy Mz5 does not have the alarm installed. Only Mz3 and 6, and sounded very soft. The immobiliser It only prevent the engine from starting it.

TLW (their after marker installer) quoted $400 to have that alarm installed.

Yes, I am trying to use the folding mirror to ensure the car is locked.

The alarm thingy had really aid me in finding the car in parking lots. Kind of use to that already...
