For those who had serviced there n was crowded, was it on a weekday or weekends? Will they still take in your servicing booking even if it is crowded?

Hi bros,

Just signed for M5 on Sunday. Did a test drive on both wish and M5. Liked the feel on M5 better. Will be following this thread closely!

Stop/start button think lots of workshop can do. No clue abt keyless entry. Cruise Control is more important to me.

Thought there is keyless entry? Any workshop to recommend for start/stop button?

I did a quick search... start/stop button and keyless entry can be fixed with aftermarket products..and usually they're sold together.... seems like Steelmate and Easycar are popular...here.. i must say.. i never use them. It seems to me they are in addition to the current immobiliser, not a replacement. Guess you will have more 'keys' to hold on if install one.

Another concern would be if it void the warranty to install one.

Hi!

I have to book my appt 3 weeks in advance. If I call today, the earliest date will be about 2 weeks later.

I also asked the SE on the keyless and alarm. He said fixing these will void the warranty. And the best reply is " why do you need this accessories? You are also not travelling to Msia. New cars dun come with alarms anymore"

Hahaha

Hi all,

Personally, I feel that the road noise of M5 is pretty high. I'm thinking of soundproofing by doing the wheel arcs and undercarriage first.

What do you guys think?

Thank you!

I got the record fc low so far on 3000km of 8.5km/l. Usually, I can can get around 9+km/l.

I'd asked the same question on FC to the service agent, he told me that M5 is rather sensitive...the engine will adjust itself to make the drive good...blah blah blah.... so...fc sometimes can be poor.... [confused][confused]

The workshop is short handed with the surge of the sales recently... hopefully, don't turn into the similar long waiting time as in VW workshop previously.

except on fc, generally, I find M5 is still a good car to drive.....

Wonder anybody has good Mazda workshop to intro???

Go search for bluwell.

i did soundproof on 4 doors due to speakers/amps upgrade. definitely feel an improvement in the noise insulation.

But i dont notice a big change in FC. I dont have the details in how much it has affected but i can still get 550km to 600km per 48-50 litres of petrol intake.

also the keyless entry is interesting and i did consider installing it before. However i decided not to. Simply because i still need to use the remote to open the rear sliding doors for my passengers while approaching the car in the carpark.

Good morning!

DId you install the tweeters back at the same position or placement at the pillar?

I have an amp and 2 way speakers on hand but still hesitating installing them. Feel a little heart pain to do up on a new car.

I also did ask about the alarm installation. They told me they had to cut some wire on the door which will void the door warranty.

Thank you and kudos to information sharing!
