Your battery is getting weak, time to change liao. I also kenna this around 2 years old.

Did my change aftermarket instead of agent, save about $200. One advice from the aftermarket is that don't drive until restart also keep blinking then will be messy, need computer to reset.

change istop battery at AD workshop is abt $300.. means do outside only $100?

Thanks for the info bro. I suspect the battery too. Again, cost around $300 at agent. Saw at carousell is around $160, Q85 model. Wondering if it is the same model we are using now. And the problem is I don't use i stop often.

Dear bros of M5,

Hi all, may I check for engine oil, do you stick back to Mazda oil when you service with outside workshop?

I have finished my 3 years of free maintenance with TE. And I am planning to go outside workshop for my next servicing(which is pretty soon). I have not changed the spark plugs and auto gear box oil since day 1.

Any advice?

THank you all!

cheers

Mazda recommends using 0W20 oil so as long as you stick to this viscosity, it should be fine. Please change out your other fluids if TE has not replaced them (Brake, Coolant) besides the auto gear oil. I replace my sparkplugs between 30-40k km interval. The rest should be normal servicing. What's your mileage now?

Hi Cwinedine,

Thank you for your information. My mileage is at 58000KM and have completed 6 servicing with TE.

Is there any other things that I should look out for?

Thank you again!

cheers

My pleasure, at this mileage, you should also check your rotors & pads, the front ones should be pretty worn if you have not replaced them before and if there's any funny sound, do check the shock absorbers for leakage and also end-links. You should be fine with the rest. With free servicing, I've little or low expectation from TE.

My pleasure...It will still be cheaper outside so no worries, my only regret was not getting the car earlier to enjoy it  [laugh]

I fully agree! It was an awesome feeling when I have 4 adults and 2 toddlers( 2 car seats) with 8 bags and a pram altogether driving the M5 to JB. Everyone was pretty comfortable. Haha...

The drive was decent and powerful too...

Cheers!!!

Prices are reasonable workshop prices if they're using all Genuine Parts.

Engine oil OW20 is about $60/bot of 4L (Idemitsu) but workshop prices will be about 20-40% more

I have no idea if there's any original mazda engine oil in Singapore as i've yet to see one.

Engine oil Filter about $20

Labour to change Engine oil & filter is between $30-50

Mazda ATF is about $100-130/4L (Skyactiv)  There's 2 variant MV (normal) & FZ (skyactiv) so please use the correct one.
