For i stop, I use a small plastic about 2mm and slot under the switch, so the switch remain down (pressed). So everything you turn on the engine the i stop will be automatically disable. Trying to find something better to do this nicer

Hmm....Ingenious method without breaking warrantly.

Would give a try. Thanks.

Disclaimer: I am not a mechanic. Just speaking from driver experience. Could be right, could be wrong.

Currently mileage at 27,000km, my average is 8.3l per 100km. My average stays at 8.4l per 100km for a long time until recently it drop 0.1l !

I think shell 98 adds 50km to my mileage as compared to spc 95.

600km+ per 50l is my norm (until tank light up).

To increase from 8.4l to 8.3l, I have to drive a combination of hurry and relax speed.

The driving manual talks about measuring tyre pressure when the tyres are cold.

Our tyres are not cold when we pump air into the tyres at the petrol station.

Accordingly to M5 driver door, the maximum pressure for front tyre is 240 kpa and back tyre 280 kpa (41 psi). I assume these figures are for cold tyres.

The maximum pressure written on my tyres is 51 psi or 350 kpa.

If I pump 270 kpa (39 psi) for all tyres, I have at least 12 psi allowance for heat generated from driving and weather.

I may have more than 12 psi allowance because of the difference pressure between cold and hot tyres.

I wonder how much is this difference.

At 270 kpa hot tyres pressure for all tyres, the wheels do not look overly inflated. A visual check reveals that the wear and tear occurs on the outer side of all my tyres. The centre part of my tyres look like new.

Any comment welcome. [:)]

it is rediculous why disabling this feature void warranty. then why have a switch to off it? these people always try to scare people. wait till they find a nasty buyer that take them to court and splash it over the media.

Still can put small light items.

Has anyone install auto boot door?

The one like the GPC4 or big cars.

this will be my last post in this thread guys. i have since given up my ride. I had it like for a few months. yep. took a slight hit on the $. but i tot better to be hit early than later.

I guess the only thing i am gonna miss is the 2 power doors and moonroof. thats all. the enjoyment was there for the first few weeks when the ride is stable at high speeds. however things started to go awry fairly quickly. alignment was the first to go off. brought to them during 1K service and they say no such problem!? i even questioned myself whether i am overly paranoid. brought in again and they did the alignment the second time and problem did not really go away. find the service centre a bit dodgy. went to their other service branch and they confirmed something wrong with the alignment and guess what? they just rotated the tyres. The problem was mitigated and came back later. told them steering rocks from side to side when going up fairly huge humps and they told me its normal. When i asked why other cars i have driven not like that, they scratched their heads too..later i self-discovered it could be the suspension that is causing the problem...eventually all was sorted but the way the service people conduct their business gives me very little confidence.

i realised the achilles heel of this car is the weight and therefore its bearing on the suspension (easy to go haywire), the steering (takes a lot of effort to turn - gets worse over time), the brakes (need to step harder than other cars), pick up (draggy despite being a 2L) and of course fuel consumption (super thirsty - gets worse over time).

I thought if this car is giving me problems only after a few weeks, i cannot imagine down the road what other problems will surface and worse when the warranty is over. Imagine the first few weeks, I have to constantly check the tyre pressure, thinking it might be the tyre pressure that is giving me all the problems, it doesnt help also when the service centre over inflate the tyres when the car was first delivered.

I am not surprised the car was not given a makeover like M2, M3 and M6 and there are reports that the production of this car has since been discontinued.

Understandably, what i experienced may be unique to my ride only and i could be just unlucky to get a lemon (at one time, i even wanted to use the lemon law but i thought otherwise as fortunately, I still have the financial means to just walk away) or even just a simple case of paranoia..haha.

Sorry bros about the rant, but I thought i provide a more balanced view of the car as i have posted great things about the car earlier.

I have the same issue too. I thought I was paranoid.

The left suspension feels soft and even going over the Johor metal hump will scrap the bed.

Any one else having such issues? The service centre just rotate tire after 2 complains and after 2 weeks collecting the car last year in Oct.

Is this LED light which you guys are referring to? I thought this light flashes every 2secs once you turn your ignition key to off?

For my case, it flashes every 2seconds and disappear when you turn your ignition key to ON.

I double check with my neighbour's car also same case..

I have a very interesting experience with this. I am unable to start car.

Turns out that a cheap lighter USB is causing the problem. I can recreate this problem by leaving that Lighter USB in the car when I switch off the engine. Seems it have a conflict with the circuit.
