Hit & Run @ MSCP - SGP8137U

On 17th May 2014, a red Perodua Kenari, SGP8137U, reversed quickly and hit my front bumper after he had missed the exit.

Luckily, I have 24/7 car camera which allowed me to caught him fleeing the scene.

 

Now is waiting , waiting and still waiting

wah, your car is X mark, definitely the guy quickly run away, otherwise have to pay very high repairing cost

bring the video to TP find out the guy to claim his insurance

There are cases where claims are successful and many cases where they are not successful. It depends on you liao. If you want compensation, got to be firm and chase the bugger all the way.

 

Nowadays must use social media to get your way. TP won't really bother that much. Insurance normally half-hearted.

Had reported to police on the same day and went down to workshop to file a report on 19th May 2014.

Now is just waiting, the workshop had managed to locate his insurer and his insurer is taking a long time to come down to survey my car.

Since my case have no injury, traffic police side will be also waiting.....

I bought in ebay (about $110) and sent from China. If you want to buy, PM me and I will send you the links :)

For the itronics, it a left over from my Itronics mounted on my car, did some re-configuration to it to record 24 hours after you switch off your engine.

 

I ist a very raw camera which you have to do the setup yourself and some modifications to cover wider and larger angle but it kinda interesting for all the setup you can play with ...

 

 

 

 

 

I will let the authority and relevant parties to take action, got this feeling that this whole ordeal will take about 2 months +.

Sorry for your damage bro, hope you get some satisfied answers from the guy who does that to your car.

 

If such actions were to happen again, besides checking for the damages, I think the errant guy should also check if the car he hit is being installed with camera, rather than wasting his efforts in getting away.
