Why green-eyed over such things? Your normal few hundred dollars party for kids also considered extravagant for over half the world's population.

If companies want to give away their money to her, I don't know why people

should criticised the company or her.

I am a part time social escort and would willingly offer to sponsor her $10,000

of my services.

I have been pretty quiet in this thread because I find the whole 40K party thing by the blogger very silly to even discuss.

First of all, she is a blogger and her main intention is to drive traffic. So whether 40k or 4k is up to her to claim. After all, only she knows the total value given to her by her sponsors.

2nd, when people sponsor, those companies always push up their "value". A 3k worth of beer will now sound like is 10K. An MC who is usually $500 a gig will suddenly become $2k a gig. Sponsors can do this because only they know the true value.

So if you add (1) and (2) together, only GOD knows what is the true value of this party. For such big uncertainty that can never be verified, what is there to discuss? Isn't it pointless to discuss this to begin with?

All I know is that she will enjoy that party, that limelight and the more you guys discuss about her, the more she will make from her blog. That's all about it.

Yup very true.

For companies, it's much cheaper to sponsor this compare taking up full colour page in ST.

Who read hardcopy nowadays? The target segment all read blogs, so it makes sense to sponsor bloggers to reach the right target group.

These sponsors, be it event location, event organiser, beverage, food etc hope to reach to these consumer group willing to cough up such amount for birthday or whatever party. To replicate that kind of experience.
