I sat in the new Honda O. V nice ride and handling with huge interior space. A little pricey.

Will be a great car to head up to Penang with the family.

Given a choice, I will consider in order of priority

1) Honda O

2) Toyota Previa

3) Mazda 8

VW Sharan has 6 speed wet box - the safe one. Well, think again. Friend's 2L Tiguan box just changed on its 5th year at 8K. VW makes great cars....provided they remain moving on the roads.

I love the new odyssey too for its look and space. Too bad the rear row doesn't fold automatically. But I decided against it because the engine cannot make it. The pick up very slow.

On the Sharan, it is very tight and definitely not a good comparison with odyssey in terms of space. But I must say that the engine pick up is fantastic for my MPV. If the odyssey feels as perky... I would already be sold.

dunno lah have not met 1 single VW owner tell me his car very good. All say don't buy will repent.

Gti,passat, jetta, polo, touran....so I will pass VW for now. On paper very good. Also 2 Sharan owner say good...

Honda RB1,2&3 is a legend. Seriously no problem normal wear and tear yes.

old passage if u change all items mentioned still less than 10k. Buy new car lose much more...and after changing...the car will feel brand new...though looks aside lah.

still thinking...should I get MPV after accident now days fobia.

Thanks...wah nice.

Would like to consider the Executive Lounge version but its almost twice the price (can get 2 base "botak" alphard/vellfire)

Likely will just get the G edition or ZG/SC.

According to 1 PI, ETA around May 2015.

Will compare what is offered by Borneo Motors and PI (eg Richburg) before deciding.

Just asking, externally, is VF better looking that Alphard?

(cant praise you anymore, think got limit - too many praise for you...hehe)

And here's alphard. Please assist to post link if you can.

Watch "【ALPHARD】イメージムービー" on YouTube

Thanks, believed its the best MPV available in SG, king of MPV, will get this model again soon!

Hope this time Borneo Motors will bring a decent specs so that more will buy from them rather than PI.

My 2 previous alphard were from PI and would like to get the official export version that will avoid these shortcomings

1) cruise control limit at 110km/hr

2) dark tinted rear 3rd window that may fail routine 3rd year inspection

3) japanese wording on dashboard

4) japanese car manual

If you look at both new launches, it does resemble the current vf and ap on the roads. And based on current situation, I do see more vf than ap. If consumer preferences have not changed, I suspect the new vf is still preferred to the new ap.

Should be Honda Jade, not Toyota.

I have seen but not driven the two.

Main difference i saw:

Elgrand more spacious for 3rd row. Didn't compare 2nd row as they were single luxury seats (7 seater) and not the bench (8 seater) in the showrooms.

Also, Elgrand 3rd row is split seat can fold just one of them down, while Ody is a bench (either all up or all down), so Elgrand is more flexible.

It's possible that the platform of Elgrand is also not as tall as ody, which means it might be easier to get in/out for elderly people.

I see that Elgrand, VF and Alphard belongs to big size MPV

Ody, Estima, Previa belongs to full size MPV

Wish, Stream etc.. mid size MPV

Hard to put Ody in big size MPV range as it is not really that big leh

ha ha… i like that classification.

i only categorized into mid- and full-sized ones previously, but the big-size type makes sense.

i also think it's not really fair comparison betw ody and elgrand.

previoulsy honda had elysion to fight in that category, but i think now no more. Even step wagon is competing with Noah/Voxy...

haha

forgot to add

Got one more size MPV Square size !

Voxy, noah, serena, stepwagon etc... all of them square square one

To maximize the interior space

Actually they are quite comfortable inside, got sliding doors some more

Only thing is one must overcome the square look !
