I've seen a few Noahs on the road. Toyota really didn't bother with the rear styling as I thought it was an actual panel van until I saw the word Noah etched in chrome.

 

I'm getting 9-10km/L on my Nissan Presage. I'd expect Estima to have similar fc. 85HW/15City.

 

Furry and Soya already caution against Frenchie rides...everyday go up mountain find tiger, one day sure meet tiger one.

Same here,love the sliding doors,rear aircon and fuel consumption should be comparable with Wish with the SkyActiv engine.Only problem is the 2 airbags which you have mentioned.Too bad I have not much choices based on my budget.

 

i found the mazda5 smaller than the wish in terms of interior room. at least in the wish you still can fit 7 adults in the car. with the mazda5 3adults abreast in the 2row is quite cramped and the 3row, is probably meant for shorter and smaller people.

Ya,2nd row is definitely smaller for Mazda 5.But its quite ok for me as 90% of the time I am alone in the car and normally it will sit 3 adults and 1 kid during weekends.Only once in a blue moon have to squeeze 5 adults 1 kid.Dont forsee much issue unless I am travelling to Malaysia often with 5 adults and a kid.Then the comfort will definitely be compromised.If only I can afford the Estima or Odyssey.....

70k km mileage in barely a year. This must have been driven non-stop between Changi airport and Tuas!

Sorry I just got my Estima 2 weeks ago so still not run in yet . at the moment I am getting about 8km/l based on 50% hw

I was told that it should be able to give between 9 to 10km once run in and also depending on the driving pattern . Will let you know once I send I send for my first servicing .

So far enjoying the comfort of the ride .

 

I believe fc is much better than the Sorento . I did test drive that too and I love it but second and third row is really small .

 

 

The Estima is something I wss eyeing but the price and fuel consideration means it is out of $ range. Same as Sorento.

Would you be able to share your experience of driving the Estima, the fuel consumption and most importantly, purchase price please?

Usually this car is use by private limousine driver to take corporate clients to airport or offices so mileage definitely high.

Very high maintenance so many switch to Alpahard or wellfire . cheaper maintenance

My experience with FC is that long-term FC is very close to the FC when you just collect a new ride, not more than 1km/L. So if you got only 8km/L, you would not get more than 9km/L for the next few years if the usage pattern remain.

 

Do not really believe the fantastic FC that people claim as they are achieved under extreme condition, like driving at midnite due to shift work and without aircon or mostly highway. You can't run away from the law of physics. If the car is heavy, then good luck to you on FC.

 

I think average long-term FC for Estima is only about 9km/L base on real-life feedback from many users. Sales people always claim better figures which could happen if you always drive mid-nite in highways with aircon switched off.

To add on, I have been disappointed a few times already by the few rides that I owned so far. Always can read people getting so fantastic FC so always hopeful that after 10,000km servicing with synthetic oil it will improve by much, but always being disappointed with less than 1km/L improvements.

 

So I come to the conclusion that what you get in beginning is about what you will achieve in long run. Any one with different outcome?

2 airbags for estima . I think 6 for previa but understand no airbags fpr the 2nd row because the 2nd rom is able to move about alot becos car is spacious

pls check how is previa airbag work

frm wat i read, even the euro diesels which claim 15-20kml is only achieved on highway. they all drop to 8-9kml when in city.

 

even my previous toyota vios cannot achieve high mileage coz i drove in city only so really alot of variable

IMO, betw wish and mz5, i think i'll go for a wish. Back aircon vents is not very important honestly for a mid sized MPV i feel. Not say this is a big Hiace van or what.

As far as I know that those PI that I have come into contact they may not have more than 2 airbags . You can try for Richburg or Motorways they may carry higher end ones .
